I think she might have it in her to look beyond Zuko???s theft, and if she comes to care for him deeply enough look past the fact he???s the Fire Lord???s son. She strikes me as the person who loves someone no matter what. Katara? I know this is a poor scenario but Jet! She didn???t see a person who experienced a tragedy so great he was nothing except a vessel of hatred but a would-be murderer. I look back on Jet, the rebels,??and pity them. If there???s anyone that???s going to have a relationship with Zuko they need to look past his crimes and faults, I think Iroh proves it and it seems Aang could forgive Zuko for his past crimes. Where I Stand In The Shipping War: Aang/Katara And I don't care if these pairing will NEVER happen in the show again. This is where I stand. I tried to change my shipping views but a tigress doesn't change her stripes apparently. Once a shipper, always a shipper! |
Wow I think I agree with you when it came to Song but now I'm not sure Katara is a good idea even though they look great together. OMG now I totally can't make up my mind

| Mai-Zuko... I highly doubt that, Mai would most likely favor it but not Zuko, first off she's friends with Azula... second she's a little cold for Zuko now, but it could happen... Zuko turned on Iroh so who the hell knows what he'll do now |
Hmm....i don't know about Mai being too cold for Zuko because last time i checked, Zuko was pretty cold himself and now that they're on the same team so anything can happen

They've been fighting Katara's(or Song) people for 100 years, it would be like the US President's daughter/son marring a (ex)terrorist. |

Katara hates Zuko and i think the writers were having them "bond" for a bit just to get all the zutara people excited thinking it was going happen and then he went to the wrong side and now they are all??sad because he sided with azula. I didn't see that coming, but now I think its funny. |
Yeah i agree, they would have never brought up Mai liking Zuko if they weren't going to do something with it, they're better creators than that.
As for CoD. To me, that was the creators way of saying "now do you understand? Zuko and Katara are not getting together".
But of course, we don't understand......

I see this as most likely going one of three ways: (1) They don't end up together (intended to be a tragic ending, like Yue and Sokka), (2) They pull a "Spiderman trilogy" and end up together, but then new tension in the relationship emerges (like from a competitor, or from having to hide it as a secret lest enemies take advantage of it as in Spiderman and Harry Potter), or (3) They end up together at the end of the show. Before CoD, I'd have said that #1 or #3 were most likely. But after CoD, I'd say that #2 or #3 are most likely. But who knows. Toph and Aang - This is even more unlikely than Zuko and Katara, IMO. Aang likes Katara (and she likes him) and Toph likes Sokka (who is oblivious to her crush), and this is who these characters would be most likely to crush on if they were real people; someone of Aang's personality and someone of Toph's personality would never fall for each other in real life. Song and Zuko - Very unlikely due to the fact that Song wasn't portrayed as a potential love interest and that she feels very much of a "one-shot character that might make a cameo but maybe not" character. But it's NOT rediculous like Zuko and Katara. |
