I have a theory about the failed kataang kiss and the zutara hug...

Lets say katara finds out about aang's feelings for her, and finds out she's the reason he can't get into the avatar state. (NOTE: I'm not saying katara has feelings for aang).

So, katara talks to zuko about it. Zuko comes to a conclusion that the only way to beat the firelord is to have aang get into the avatar state. Katara believes that aang can shrug off his feelings for her before the battle.

But then, aang kisses katara, she backs out of it, realizing that he's not gonna give up these feelings so easily. She talks to zuko, and they come up with one theory. The only way to get aang back into the avatar state is to break his heart, the only way to do that is to get his former enemy with his crush.

So aang freaks out, and is mad at both of them, (unaware of their plan). Katara feels awful that they have to do that to aang, (and zuko feels bad also), and in her sadness, katara hugs zuko.

Aang, meanwhile, says he's not fighting the firelord. (Because remember in 309, he said he was doing all of this for katara.) So zuko talks to a meditating aang. (See zuko talk with aang in the trailer).

Anyway, that's my theory. I'm not saying katara has feeling for aang, or she doesn't have feelings for zuko, I'm just coming up with a logical (for avatar at least), theory of what happened.

I know that a lot of people are saying that this is a kids' show and the hero always gets the girl, but remember that Aang needs to let go of all Earthy possessions, and the creators love to tease with couples. Maybe if us Zutarians are lucky Katara and Zuko will end up together after the whole show has been showing Kataang. That'll be the major shipping tease

That's a pretty good theory. Imaginative yet realistic.

with practice you can add Suky, Ty Li, june, Jin, and yue

, but dont over do it because you might see Lo and LI and gran gran *shudders* it has happend to me

Through that logic also gave up hate, guilt, lies, fear, etc. Yet we clearly see him have all those emotions after he clears those chakras.

your right but i think zutarians just say things like that cuz they think it is funny when kataangers come rushing in with sticks shoved up their butts just to prove why zutara will never happen and why we are all crazy for even considering it. ok so i have only really noticed one person doing this ALOT and he is starting to really annoy me. so Spike815 take that stick out and let us have our moment of bliss.

Kataang is because of its obviousness. However, I seriously think Zutara has more chance. Either way, those two becoming friends will be awesome (the fighting together was fantastic!), and if it stops there, I'll survive.

For all those people saying 'oh, but they've "never" shown zutara teasers before', umm, why would they only show pro-zutara shipping stuff? Why not have some pro-kataang stuff too to make it more suspenceful and whatnot? (like you guys keep saying is the only reason they do this stuff). Personally, I would be much more excited if they had a pro-kataang moment as well as the pro-zutara (or at least pro-zutara friendship for you kataangers) - it would make it so much better, and much more "omg, which ship will happen?". But because it was all pro-zutara, and the finale is coming up....seriously, you guys can't keep saying they are just spinning us along. CoD was ONE moment (omg, will she heal his scar). This trailer has at least 5 pro-zutara moments, and 1 anti-kataang moment. Odds aren't in your favour guys.

But still, Kataang could happen, but I think zutara is much more likely at this stage (and no, it wasn't just the trailer that made me think that. I've thought it for awhile, and the trailer just re-inforced my opinion).

And i agree with cancerthecrab. Half the time I say things like the above, its just to see the kataangers reactions

and chances are that the "hug" happened in either 315 and 316, and the kiss at 317 or slight(but unlikely) chance at 318

hug= Katara in blue dress, and likely at WAT after BR rescue of Hakoda and Suki (I think Hakoda took the 3 stooges and Suki joined the gaang)
kiss= "fire nation clothes" when they go see play(Sokka and Suki show poster of "the play" at the mansion at Ember island?)
