??Although i'm a huuuuuge fan of jessie flower, and i think her voice is the voice of toph (meaning she's perfect for the role), i think Dakota Fanning would be a better actress as Toph if there would be a live action movie for the Avatar.

That is if there would be a live action Avatar movie.

I sure HOPE it's not about shippings. But I knew I had to put shipping in the title if anyone was going to read this. Nobody visited my Momo thread . . . *sniff*

Smart girl. She definitely??knows what will bring in a crowd in this forum. So sad the deeper ramifications of??the shipping wars.

    ~Apologizes??for??not posting on??your Momo thread~

PS: Was??your??Momo topic??in the form of a question? (To all Newbies) When posting a thread whatever you do, don't make it a question. Make a statement about what you think is right and then ask for the thoughts of??others. Otherwise you run the??risk of a cha-jillion very annoying know-it-all veteran posters entering??your thread and ordering you to go to 'Ask a Question, Get an Answer' threads. Ack! Very troubling.

Thats not true. I would of came here if it was titled "Jessie Flower". I personally don't follow shippings.
    What he said.

"Anyone" was hyperbole. I know people would read it if it was simply titled "Jessie Flower." However, I strongly suspect that MORE people will read it because of the title . . .

    Anyway . . . moving on.

The show is, as someone said, an action adventure. It is therefore first and foremost about . . . high-flying action, comedy, mythology, and characterization. Part of that characterization includes relationships . . . family relationships (LOTS of that), friendships (some of that), and romantic relationships (some of that).

Yeah, I'm glad the show doesn't follow the "fan-elected matchmaking," or however one of you put it.

First of all, i'm a BIG fan of Jessie Flower as i'm sure most of you are.?? Secondly, shipping to stories IMO is like spices is to cooking.?? Alittle of it here and there greatly adds to the flavour, but too much ruins the whole thing.?? Without it though, the final result will be bland and boring.??

That's the problem of almost ALL american cartoons, and what nick is slowly realizing.?? True, the show IS catered for children but that didn't stop the Japanese animators from sometimes including complicated relationships to their stories, with significant success, considering Anime is popular to both young AND adults worldwide.

That's because constantly showing just a bunch of people fighting episode after episode will get boring.?? Its when you start to like the character and empathize with them that the story can progress to become something worth looking forward to.

And you can only start empathizing with them one you see yourself in one or more of the characters of the stories.?? And that can only happen when they go through the same problems and situations (more or less) that you go through, like making the wrong decisions, getting misunderstood for doing what you considered the right thing, having problems with friends or women or for women men, etc.

In short, shipping (and i mean relationships as a whole and not just boy/girl relationships) as long as tastefully done, adds a human element to the story that endears it to the fans.

WOW! A wonderfully astute observation! I would agree. Any classic epic storytelling is a blend of many elements and the blending??of them is a delicate and complicated balance. Too much of any one thing would upset the balance of the rest and ruin the tale.

They really should! It was an astute observation. All boiling down to the fact that the show needs both action AND mythology AND family/friend/romantic relationships.

I don't hate Jesse you dum-dum. I 'm just not particularly "happy" with her ship of choice, even though she'd never heard the term before.

Well...if you think of it, their is still hope for the Taangers out there. She said she preffered Tokka, but she never said it would happen! And also she thought that at the top of her head because she didn't know what shipping was at first. Reminder: She is just a voice actress and not a producer or creator or etc.

Well, we're dying for season 3 but we don't know what to talk about. So all that's left to think about is shipping because...well...it never gets old for most ppl.

And trust me, when the season 3 trailer finally shows, ppl will go berserk and talk like crazy from the one trailer.

Especially if they show Katara touching Zuko's scar again. I love this show for that. Show what appears to be Katara healing Zuko's scar in the trailer.??All those??Kataro or whatever??shippers went??beserk about it.??Then, turns out that entire moment was in the commercial.

HAHAHA!! Poor Zutarians, Katara not having the chance to heal his scar. What will REALLY get ppl concerned if they introduced some new character, and he looks like a big one. But enough bad guys, let's get some new allies!

It's the relationship between 2 characters and the shippers are the fans of that relationship. The biggest ones are Kataang (Katara/Aang) and Zutara (Zuko/Katara). Their are TONS of different kinds, but these 2 are dealing with WWIII right now, lol
