Katara has been so mean 2 everyone one around and Zuko and I know she 4gave him and all but still. I like the old Katara beter she alway kept her temper and kept the group from fighting.

She was PMSing just like in Crossroads of Destiny

But seriously she was just like that for this episode I mean, finding out who killed her mother has probaly been sitting inside her for years, that kind of hatered is not going to come out in a nice polite manner.

No. Katara deserves to be mad, that jerk killed her mother. I would do the same thing, but I would have killed him.

She needed closure. She should be better now that she confronted her worst enemy.

A vry good episode. Realistically done I think. And Zuko's question to Aang at th end left him very surprised and with many things to think on. On a side note, the Zutara fans should be happy with the mission together and the hug at the end. Oh well, I don't care. I ship Taang.

First off, don't think of me as a Kataanger or Zutarian. I'm neither. I'm neutral. (I watch the show for the kick-@ss plot and kung-fu action...and the comedy X3)

I don't blame Katara for being mad and rude at Zuko. Since season 1 he has done nothing but chase them, threaten them and not to mention repeatedly going after Aang. Her friend. The last chance of hope and world peace and yaddi yaddi yadda. In the cave she was apologizing for shouting at him earlier and showing and kinder side and treating him like a human being and not just as some firebender monster, even after all he had done to them she was even willing to try and help him get rid of his scar. (maybe as a way of saying "I'm not your enemy. we're not the enemy. Let me help you.") She was also willing to help his uncle when Azula shot him.

Then BOOM! Out of no where here he comes to aid his psychotic sister (the person during season 2 who had done nothing but tease, mock, lie (repeatedly), and fight him (possibly try to kill him.) and begins to attack Aang, AGAIN. Even after Katara let down her guard to show trust to him and he throws it in her face. Just like Jet. Remember, Katara doesn't take people lightly who have betrayed her trust. If I was katara, I'd be going "WFT?!" as well.

And then Azula shoots Aang down with lightening. How would you feel if you showed kindness to let say...some mugger with a knife, and he could have maybe shown you some mercy. Then your best firend comes down the street and suddenly he stabs the monkey gender outta him/her, killing them. Oh would you feel? Having Katara see her best friend being struck by lightening is a pretty faaar step back from the trust scale and would be hard to forgive after something like that. Having Zuko take Azula's side also brought down the entire Earth Kingdom and had it turned over to the Fire Nation. The Kingdom they had fought soooo hard to protect. Gone.

Now we have Aang out cold. Down for the count for how many weeks? How many days, minutes, seconds? To Katara that would be agonizing. (Thats like some of the fans here being put through that looong torture of months of repeated episodes and no new ones) She sits there not knowing when he would wake up. If he would ever wake up. How bad it would be when he did wake up. Over those weeks she would have a lot to think about and a lot of anger building up. I'd be pissed off as well. (I also saw some comics that took place before the awakening on the internet. Don't as me what they're called or where to find them I don't know. Some of you might have even read them yourselves. But if you see them you could tell Katara was pretty depressed, angry and isolated herself from the group.)

In the great fallen city (I'm not spelling it lolz) was the last time Katara saw Zuko. Then out of no where at the WAT he shows up saying he wants to join the group. Woah. Slow down Zuboy. The last time Katara saw you was in the crystal catacombs where you betrayed her kindness and trust. Shes not going to be all cheerful and willing to trust you so easily after what you did before. No smile and opne arms for you. Remeber how she reacted when she saw Jet again? (Water everywhere! YIE YIE YIEA!) I'm surprised she even gave him two seconds to speak. At least she is allowed him to join at all. Thats the first step. Who cares that she throws tiny and lame insults at him. She thinks she deserves it and since Zuko doesn't talk back he probably understands why.

I'm not saying that I hate Zuko, I think he's a pretty cool character and sometime quite funnt. But don't think Katara is rude or mean. I'm looking at this from her point of view. I say she has every right to be like this and knowing her she will eventually (The Southern Raiders?) forgive him.

Well, she has a reason to be upset. She doesn't make me mad, in fact, it's actually refreshing to see her act outside of her normal nice attitude.

Yeah, I thought that while I was watching the episode too, but I expect he sympathizes with Katara a lot based on his own mother-losing experiences.. that also makes me wonder why he hasn't been shown making an effort trying to find his mother after discovering that she might still be alive.

Katara was the only one besides her Mother who saw the assasin so she had an extra burden to carry.

i agree with breaker94 and cj_619 (except the pms part!). sure katara was nice, trying to keep peace among everyone and keep her temper under control, but some times when she was nice she did get betrayed, and her trust did get broken...maybe she's tired of being hurt by letting her guard down i guess you could say and then watching aang getting beat by azula and being knocked uncnsious, possibly dead was alot for her to deal with along with her mother that she loved very much was taken away from her when she was just a little girl and there was nothing she could do about it so of course all that bottled up rage is going to come out. she went postal...that was a lot for katara to have gone through, everyone has their breaking point. but i think she should have killed that guy, if aang hadn't gave her that stupid forgiveness speach then she definetly would have. i would very much like to see katara kill someone...we saw her threaten to kill zuko, but since in the southern raiders episode she forgave him, trust him, etc. now we wont see that happen, however,if azula or zuko's dad try's anything i bet katara will try her damnst to kill them, haha.
