Giving a little blood (just where it's necessary), some curses (again, just where it was necessary), and less corny lines. |
The finale was great - the only thing i would have done was show a little more of the battle in the earth capital

I know this has been said, but I would've liked to have seen the Ursa/Zuko reunion. Maybe they'll have deleted scenes in the s3 boxset. That would be nice. |

They chose not to include those because they wanted the peaceful ending at the end instead. I appreciate their decision, IMO. |

i would have made it so that a giant, random lion turtle wasnt pretty much the big hero of the series. |
WOULD PEOPLE PLEASE STOP SAYING THAT THE LION TURTLE WAS RANDOM?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, just had to get that out of my system. The Lion turtle was featured in two episodes prior to the finale - The Library and Sokka's Master. In both of those episodes the beast was brought up specifically, commented on by name, and featured an image of the beast. In The Library, we even got to see that it was far bigger than a man. So the Lion Turtle was not just a randomly thrown in creation; Bryke were evidently planning this for some time. Add in that there was an image of the Lion Turtle (even if it wasn't named at that point) in the unaired pilot episode, and the Lion Turtle actually got a lot more forshadowing than Zuko reuniting with his mother did (which is why the former happened and the latter didn't).

Thats true the lion turtle was foreshadowed a lot but the fact that I don't think anyone here picked up on that before the episode aired meant that people saw it as coming out of the blue. The Lion turtle was a very good concept but IMO I just felt it was a tad bit rushed. Kudos to the writers though in showing us the lion turtle plenty of times before the finale but still surprising us with how the lion turtle played its part in the finale.

I would've liked a bigger role for Iroh. Maybe a flashback to when he broke out of prison. i feel like he was absent the entire 3rd season and his role wasn't given justice. |

well, without Mako, and only Greg Baldwin to voice Iroh, Bryke didn't want to use Iroh much, kind of in a tribute to Mako. |

You'd think they'd make Iroh have a really kick a$$ role or something, as a tribute to Mako. |
