Well, we know he's powerful enough to control a comet. That's gotta be takin some mad firebending skillz to do that.

Good one. I wonder how many people will get that reference. But seriously that lightning attack was kind of scary if you think about it. I mean the best Azula can do is a single bolt every once and awhile. Ozai had seveal bolts in each hand and it didn't even look like he was trying that hard.
i did its from dbz when they first meet goku

Don't forget he also used stronger lighting that azula at a much faster speed and with a great ease.

But is he more powerful than Iroh?

I have a feeling that the finale might answer that. That would be an awesome fight.

Iroh vs. Ozai? :O Somehow that reminds me of Yoda vs. Palpatine, or Voldemort vs. Dumbledore.

    How powerful is Ozai?

Not powerful enough to defeat a 12 year old child.

Hey, the season 2 finale they lost the battle. Aang was shot down by a lightning bolt. If you ask me, that's pretty violent.

Yeah but that was in the middle-end of the series. This is the series finale and I doubt Ozai's gonna win unless...

    Not talking about the violence.

At the end of every single kid's series, the bad guy is defeated. How else will the plot points be wrapped up?

I am thinking that he's powerful enough to effing rape aang....and then aang's avatar state will do some sort of gay crap where all the past avatar's powers combined and ozai gets raped. then the avatar state revitalizes aang whoopdeeeffindoo.

I don't think the finale will make much sense in that case. There needs to be a twist.

Here is my theory of the Phoenix Lord:

There is something called the Phoenix Spirit, it can be possessed by some certain beings.

Like the Avatar, it has a state of power. "Phoenix State"

Phoenixes cannot be destroyed, they are reborn from their ashes.

Ozai cannot die, he will burst into flames but instead of being reborn, he is re-formed. With his memory, and powers intact.

You have a right to make a theory, no matter how off its rocker it is.

There is no "Phoenix State." Ozai just calls himself the Phoenix Lord in the same fasion one calls the ruler of somethinga king or an Emporer. Its a title that has no real signifigance.

Yeah, I think he calls himslef the Phoenix Lord the same way a king would call himself an emperor. Since the Fire Nation is an empire, "Pheonix Lord" is probably the title to pertain to an empire.
