    There have already been so many announcements about the movies . I doubt if this HUGE announcement is going to be about something all the fans already know about...

    Agreed, I already got my hopes up too high... *sigh* So if they don't do anything to continue it other than the movies and mini episodes, it will be depressing

    I suppose they could present clips, but I still doubt that the movie is their big announcement, since it was already announced at last comic con, and more news has been leaked since then. Yet, it could be anything. The fate of Avatar and the Avatards will be revealed this Friday , we can only hope we'll get what we want

    Agreed... I'll probably have another breakdown... I didn't have one during the finale, except some teary moments here and there. It was when they first announced that the finale of the series was coming and that the series was ending...

    I just hope that the creators don't waste the potential of the series. So many people just adore the characters and the story, and it's made so much money for Nickelodeon.

    I just like silently cried to myself, thinking how the best series ever is ending just after 3 years and 3 seasons...

    I bet after I rewatch the entire series in like one weekend, and then the finale, I will probably have another breakdown, but probably a lot worse than the first since all of the episodes would be so fresh in my mind. *Sigh* Oh well, again, time will only tell.

    I was over my friend's house, and I just started weeping, silently... then i felt so numb after that...then i was like "how can this be over?"

    i am mostly hoping for a fourth season....but that seems like it's not gonna happen...and also, there would be no more major conflicts....ya, zuko's mother....but thats not a problem with everyone....and it seems that zuko is gonna do alot to make everyone love eachother in the world....so there isnt gonna be alot of bad guys.....probably....so ya.....but i really would love a new series.....like the next avatar.....the water bender one.....who should probably be aang's grand child......like Aang dies and right after he dies, his children (with Katara) have a baby and its the avatar (water bender) and Aang and Katara's kid (who gives birth to the next avatar) would also have little airbenders and other waterbenders and so the one waterbender avatar would go along with their brothers and sisters to defeat someone else......idk.......oh! and you know what wold be cool is if Aang and Katara's kid married Zuko and Mai's kid and then they would be the ones to have the next avatar....sweetness???? am i right?....idk...just a thought

    Depending on what the news will be, there may be a second series. Bryke has stated that they do want to continue past Season 3 and that they are not done with the Avatar Universe. This can mean one of two things. Either they want to continue the gAang's story, or they want to make a new story whether it be in the past or future about something else in the Avatar Universe.

    Like I said before, it would be dumb of them to make their big announcement about the movie... they already did that before in SSDC 2007 so for them to do it again would be stupid. Although, they can provide clips, but again, I doubt that would be the huge announcement.

    Let's be sensible, people, and review what we know:

    1. We still haven't found Zuko's mother, and you know they're going to have to answer that question somewhere b/c everyone wants to know.
    2. In one interview, the creators said (or at least, alluded to the fact) that Aang is not the penulitmate airbender. We need to find the others of his kind who are hiding out.
    3. I don't know about you, but I haven't seen enough of Good Zuko. I've been waiting for Good Zuko to show up ever since Book 1 and to have him convert 10 eps b4 the end makes me feel like I've been gyped.
    4. There are other things I'm sure we want to see, like Azula in the FN looney bin (I really want to see that, don't ask me why), more Maiko and Kataang and George, and I want to hear about when and why Iroh went to the Spirit World.
    5. Koh specifically said that he and Aang would meet again, plus a number of other loose ends that need tying up.

    I feel like, if they don't make a full fourth season, they'll at least give us a short Book 4 (10 eps or something). Call it an epilogue.

    I agree completely. And your post was probably the one that I have seen to have the majority of things that need to closed, except for Toph's family. An epilogue, fourth season, or some form of a continuation is almost needed to produce some closure for the fans. We're pretty much just waiting to hear what they have to say about it at the Comic Con. It would be an utter shame if they didn't further it at all, other than the movies which are kind of shaky with them being live action. I could see the movie being EPIC or just complete and utter PHAIL...
