There is more Avatar related stuff today, but it is for the most part an autograph signing with Bryke.

So you think that they'll be beraking some unexpected news at an autogrpah signing?

I think not. I won't get my hopes up for anything, except the movies.... looks like Avatar is over and done. But what I don't get is that I kept hearing about "another incarnation of the character..." from an interview with Bryke... I guess I let my hopes get the best of me.

So I just finished Avatar Spirit's Q&A video and here are my conclusions for the fate of Avatar:

There is a MMO coming out, and I'm not sure when, or how good it will be; here's hoping its not a pay and play set up

There is NO BOOK 4 AIR ! As much as it saddens me, I think Aang and Zuko's "story arcs" are over. That does not mean that there are no spin offs, ect.

Zuko finding his mom were included in the finale, but Mike DiMartino killed it, for unknow reasons

The movies will be an accurate retelling of each consecutive book.

Avatar will air where all good Nick shows go to die ; Nicktoons Network

This panel will NOT be the last that Avatar will have at the SDCC

    My Thoughts:

Avatar The Last Airbender is officially over. I am as sad an distraught as the rest of you, maybe even more so. There have been NO CONFIRMED SPIN OFFS OR MINISODES , ect, so I will not get my hopes up. The inclusion of a continuation of an Avatar panel at SDCC gives me some hope of a new series in the Avatar World, but not so much that I would be devistated if it did not happen (I was devistated that the show ENDED).

I just wish that we could have some sort of closure; I'm having a hard enough time with stress as it is.

I doubt they are done with the Gaang and everyone else. It makes no sense for them to leave a two year gap between the end of Book 3 and the movie. They need to keep people interested, so I would expect something Avatar related in mid-to-late 09.

    Who knows.

I was just summing up the panel at SDCC 2008

I refuse to let myself get hopeful. *wipes tear from eye for the 200th time today*

You know, if I were that girl in the questions segment that said, "First of all I'd like to say that it's an honor to be in your presence," I'd totally say that.

Even though Bryke did the whole "fake book 4" thing, they redeemed themselves with the most hilarious fandom-related video ever dedicated to us. They have created a series that will always be cherished thoughout the generations.

You know guys, it isn't exactly "over"...you just have to wait and see what happens in the future. At this point, as always, the fate of the show is all up to Bryke. Keyword: WAIT

Wait. I guess we'll all be waiting. How long will we be waiting before Bryke says "Yea. It's over." or when he says " We've got a sequel !" I just wish we could get a straight answer from these guys.

I guess you guys are technically right. Avatar isn't exactly "over" and neither is it exactly "not". The answer is pretty vague right now though.

That's very interesting... Obviously they had enough time to put it in since the episode wasn't a full 23 minutes. I'll have to think about this.

    It is distracting..

Actually, I think Katara was Aang's first kiss, and it looks surprisingly fluid. I mean she is like 15 and he is like 13, and my first kiss was 15, and it was umm something to behold. Two years of experience help though

I think that the creators wanted to convey a sense of spiritual connection between Aang and Katara, but it is funny if you consider their age.... It's like a movie kiss, wayyyy to perfect for real life.
