It has been said that the creators will be giving a big announcement during this year's SDCC at the Avatar Panel. This announcement is speculated to be of great importance to the future of this show. What I'm wondering is if anyone on these forums are going to be going to this year's SDCC for Avatar? I'd love to hear some news from you if/when you go . The SDCC will be presenting the Avatar Panel on Friday July 25th, and will have multiple events on days to follow. So, for another 5 days we have to sit and wait until the fate of the epic series Avatar is decided and announced by the creators.

What do you guys think will be announced or discussed at the Comic Con? I'm more or less interested as to how they are going to handle any future T.V. series whether they are spin-offs or simply continuations. It has even been said by the creators themselves in Comic Con 2007, they are not done with the Avatar Universe.

I want a new season, duh. Or an epilouge at least showing what every character they ever mentioned (including the Cabbage Seller Man) are doing after the end of the war.

I agree, some closure is needed. The finale left us with just the successful defeat and overthrow of the Fire Nation. It would be a shame if they didn't make an epilogue, new episodes, season, or series to explain exactly what happened after the war and how the nations, and their citizens coped with the rebuilding of all the nations.

And they need to do something about Aang being the final airbender... if that is so... they need to explain how airbenders are re-populated. If not... it would leave the viewers to assume that Aang and Katara had children... yet it's debatable whether or not it would be an airbender or a waterbender... or the viewers would assume that the avatar cycle would be incomplete and would cease to exist, due to the lack of the air nomads.

And... Ursa... her story was opened up, and we were just left hanging... all in about 5 minutes before the show ended...

I really do hope they provide an explanation to Toph's story as well.

They kind of left a large amount of things hanging. Things that many viewers would like to be explained.

Hopefully they will be explained within the next Comic Con.

That would be nice. Like "mini chapters" or like what they did with Tales of Ba Sing Se. I don't care how Bryke do it as long as we get to see what all the characters are doing now.

im kinda hoping for something entirely new. set in the same universe, but with a new cast of charachters. as much as i loved the show, i think anything after the finale would be anticlimactic, except maybe a tales of ba sing se style episode.

I definitely see how it would anticlimactic if they use the same characters and go past the finale. New characters would be... nice... I guess. I would have to see how they are, especially seeing how attached they have become to me, and other viewers. An epilogue would be nice to sum things up.

All I can really hope for is...

    MORE AVATAR!!!

I hope they make a new spin-off. If they are going to make a new series, though, I think they confirmed that it wouldn't have the same characters, so we can forget about the gAang. I think they'll put the closure some of us need in the DVD box set to increase sales. But if they have a big announcement, it is most definitely a new Avatar series. I can't believe I won't be anywhere near a computer those few days! . WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS?!

I'm sorry that sucks. Neither will I LOL XD. I will be using my DVR to record all of coverage made by G4 of the Comic Con. Although... if my laptop is fixed by then, I should be able to take the laptop with me on the trip and catch some news while I'm in the hotel. If not, hopefully I'll find out when I get back by coming to these forums, elsewhere on the internet, or G4 (if they covered Avatar).

The San Diego Comic Con begins July 24th, and ends on July 27th. G4 will be covering the Comic Con, but what Panels they will be covering is unknown. You can check out the official San Diego Comic Con website by clicking here. G4's San Diego Comic Con site can be accessed by clicking here.

Ugh, I guess the important parts will still be on here when I can access a computer. It'll actually be the 26th, I believe, so I should be good. And most of the stuff I miss that's important will be youtubed, no doubt. I guess I feel a little better

If they don't... I'll be really disappointed in the creators... if they don't it would kind of taint the series; leaving it so open.

Leaving us Avatards with no closure would anger, sadden, and disappoint a large many of us.

According to a link, it'll start on the 25th. I don't know if they also have more things going on the next day of the 26th. If you click here, and go to the search box which is to the far left sidebar, type in Avatar and it will come up with the details for the Avatar panel. For some reason it wouldn't let me post the actual link, so I hope the path I wrote works lol

To be honest... I thought a lot more people would've been excited about this, but not that many people seem to care about the future of Avatar lol XD not too many people have posted in here. I just keep on seeing more forums about the Finale, movies, and sadness over the ending of the series. But this end of the series may lead into an entirely new and epic beginning!

Although... I'm just a fanatic Avatard who just wants more Avatar lol

So close, yet so far . Ahahaha. Well, my fellow Avatards will be talking about it for a week, at least. Or, I hope they will be.

Actually, I don't want an epilogue. I mean, I guess I kind of do. But I don't want the series to be ruined for me. It could either get much better or much worse. Also, I like the idea of not having a concrete end. It leaves many possibilities open that we can discuss. I don't want Avatar to be completely answered, I just want the majority of it =] I would most def. watch the epilogue if they had one, but I wouldn't really go to hxc lengths to get one.

We don't need an epilogue, epilogues are overrated. And let's just make this the official San Diego Comic Con discussion so people don't make even more of these.

Ah, so am I! What a coincidence. But there are so many n00b threads about the same things over and over and over again that good threads like this will be washed out. I mean, how many threads are there titled, "0Mg AVaTAr EZ OVahh!" It's driving me insane. And most of them are level 1's. It's okay to be a level 1, but not if you're an idiotic level 1

I guess I think I just need to think this over after I watch the entire series of Avatar over again on DVD once I get the box collections I had stopped watching it at one point, after the hiatus, because the times were all screwed up, and I lost track of the new schedule. I attempted to catch up, but ended up missing some episodes in the long run. Which is why I'm going to buy the entire series and watch it over again, and hope they will make an epilogue. I don't think the creators would be reckless enough to allow an epilogue to ruin the series though , I'm sure they can write it well to close up what we need to be closed.

I'm just EXTREMELY excited for what they say at the Comic Con!!!
