Maybe a lot of those people are just watching it so they have seen it and are planning on buying the DVD later?
That's what I did, because the DVD release rate in Australia is extremely slow. We're still up to Volume 3 of series one.

But how many of the views are people who are watching it for the fourth, fifth, or tenth time? Sure there are alot of views of the episodes but it would be an overstatement to say that many people have watched it online.

Let's not predict here. We don't know if those people have no intention of purchasing it and we don't know how many other people intend to purchase it and not view it online. Speaking of which, I've got to go purchase it now. Later.

I don't know about you, but when I bought my DVD, there was only 3 left(none at the "new releases section", 3 at the regular shelf), only 2 left of DVD 2(both at new releases section) and none of DVD 1

Those that can buy normally either won't even if they don't watch it or will buy it anyway.

I'm hoping that that isn't the case because the DVD sales are supposedly determining any future Avatar projects. We can only hope that more people wanted to support the cause than people who would rather wait for the boxed set or bought it online.

There's no way DVD sales wouldn't be high (or above average) for the "Day of Black Sun: part 2", "The Western Air Temple","The Firebending Masters", and both Boiling Rocks. Seriously.

Well, we know that a lot of the older fans probably bought the DVD. But I don't know how much Nick advertised the DVD, because with Nick, the younger fans wouldn't know about the DVD. We have the internet, so that's where we get our info from, but the kids don't really.

Hell, we advertise more than Nick does.

That doesn't mean casual fans (or simply fans who aren't fan site goers) wouldn't see them on the shelves.

Just because people see it online doesn't mean that they have no desire to purchase the DVD. I reserve a copy of the next DVD to come out every time. Anyone out there that has the slightest interest in cartoons would be a fool not to jump on this bandwagon. Even after this series is over I'm sure they will continue to sell the DVD's for a good long time.
