After seeing that kissing scene I had since had the feeling that between 315-319 Zuko will kiss Katara the same way Aang did (to complicate things further). I bet if this was the EXACT SAME SITUATION instead of with Zuko instead of Aang, everyone would say that look was because Katara loves Zuko. Think about it; would Zutarians really say the same thing about Katara's feelings if it was Zuko? Even I would admit she enjoyed the kiss if it was Zuko. Think about it; The look that Katara gave Zuko when she left the cave in COD, Zutarians screamed "LOVE!" but in a more stressful monumental situation where a look like that would be love, Zutarians would say it's not just because it's towards Aang. |

Im liking my idea of Taang, Suki + Sokka, and Zutara. I think that at the end of season 3 the Fire Lord will be defeated. But in Season 4 (yes im making up a season 4 ) Zuko will become Fire Lord and Katara will be the Fire Lady. Aang would want revenge and kill Zuko for Katara after Toph dies trying to lift up a mountain. |
Zutara - I suspect that there will be some sort of 'moment' between the two, but it will only serve to infuriate Aang and make Katara realise that The Avatar is the one she loves. (*The only thing that will change this is the possibility of Aang actually dying / sacrificing himself in the 'final' battle to save the 2 nations.) These are the only two story line 'types' ever touched by large corporate entities like Nick as they must play it safe, especially with the ratings being poor in the US.
Kataang- This is the most likely outcome and also the 'safe' option for the series to end on something of a positive note. Bear in mind that the writers will not want to upset audiences as they want them to come and see The Avatar Live action Movie in 2008 (I believe Aang will be played by Wesley Snipes).
Sokappa - Again, this is the 'safe' option for Nick and the writers. Putting Appa and Sokka together as a couple allows Nick to produce a successful spin-off series in 2008 called 'I love Appa'. The intro theme-tume to this new Spin-off will essentially sound almost identical to 'YMCA' by the village people and will see Sokka dancing on a table, throwing at least 4 or 5 boomerangs around the room simultaneously creating a whirlwind effect that causes his Marilyn Monroe dress to fly up around his face... Good times. (Appa will be voiced by Wesley Snipes)
Points of interest
1. Aang's face after 'the kiss' 3:10 was actually a face of determination. This emotion is documented in a lot of 'how to draw' anime / manga tutorials online and in the shops. He finished the kiss and immediately opened his glider, there was no hesitation nor shock.
2. The writers are so clever, as they left the Forune Teller's prediction from book 2 open to suggestion 'I see you with a man, a great and powerful bender' This is followed at the end of the episode by Aang Pwning the crap out of Mother Nature and Sokka stating "Wow, I sometimes forget what a powerful bender he is"... Katara's face upon hearing this is certainly not one of disappointment.
3. Zukko is heavily involved with that sweat covered Emo, Mai. Although the relationship may appear whimsical at times, I think there is a fair amount of substance to it.
4. The first ever Fire-Lord was Wesley Snipes.

As seen in the Day of Black Sun they kiss ( for real this time ) and katara doesn't look that happy. Could this be just because of the shock or doesn't she have any feelings for aang? ( poor aang in that case ) |

I have to respect Zutarians for sticking with their ship to the very end. They'll stick to it during the credits, after the scene where Aang/Katara kiss/get married/have little airbender children, hoping to see an extra scene where everything fails and Zutara happens. Even after the first commercial (and it's for cereal or what-have-you) airs after the credits, they'll just hold on to the hope that the next day, or two, or next 20 years, Zuko and Katara will happen. |
