Do You Think Katara Is Annoying?

    I think she is she acts to motherly and needs to get a life and excpects too much in my opinion.

    i say giv her a break. she has hard headed brother, and is partly responsible for getting the Avatar safely to the North Pole, which in my opinion is a task in it's self, seein as how Aang isn't even interested in being the Avatar! i like Katara, ok, so...yea, i actualy dont know wat else to say, so now im just babblin

    Hey if you like Katara, more power to you. However, I won't be joining you guys on the "I like Katara" bandwagon because she annoys me to the bone! I'm not saying that she's a bad person (obviously she isn't). She has her strengths but, I still find her to be annoying.

    As for the poster who said that Sokka's hard-headed...I can't debate with you on that one because it's true (even though he's one of my favorite characters). On the other hand, Katara can be just as stubborn at times.

    Actually, I rather like Katara. I just like her personality, it makes for an interesting character, IMO. I hear a lot of people who hate Katara, so I'm guessin it's not uncommon.

    Eh, lots of female main characters in cartoons are annoying, and the main male characters always think they're tough stuff.

    But I always compare the annoyance level of Katara to Kagome and that makes me feel a whole lot better about Katara.

    True, that episode based around Katara wasnt very good in my opinion, but I still like Katara, she's an interesting character (not one of my favorites) but I dont completly hate her either. She stands on neutral ground for me. She has her annoying moments and scenes (and unfortuantly episode) but also has had very "strong" points in the season so far.

    I take it that you are talking about the way she acted in "The Waterbending Scroll". That wasn't one of her best moments, but Katara is only human-she can get jealous just as much as anyone, and she did feel bad about her actions afterwards. I like Katara, but she does have bad points as well as good, just like anyone else. The odd thing is, one of the reasons I like her is one of the reasons you don't: she's motherly. I also like her courage and determination. But like I said, she does have her bad points (like her moodiness). I'm glad that for once, people are acting mature about stuff like this (I hope saying that doesn't jinx it).

    All my respect and admiralty for Katara grew as i witnessed her give that speech to the earthbenders in the episode "Imprisoned". I just like how she... cares. Though, of course everyone has their faults. No-body's perfect, so i don't consider her annoying.

    heh, as for me... im fonna wait a little longer to decide that. i mean, sometimes she really bugs me, and others i really like her there and find it comforting. bu tsomethig is telling me im gonna like her a lot more soon.

    I agree. I really admire her in that episode. And, while this sounds crazy, "The Waterbending Scroll" made me like her even more. Because it showed that even Katara has lapases in judgement.
