on a serious note, yes, technically everything vibrates at??a molecular level, but I doubt Toph's earthsense is that refined.

I think she can see like a normal person, cuz if you remember in the Blind Bandit she had no problem switching the dress and the bandit outfit. It may sound silly, but I doubt that they made to many vibrations. |

My point was that she can sense the whole person when they make contact with the earth, not just which part of them is touching it.
