    Well, you're really missing out.

on a serious note, yes, technically everything vibrates at??a molecular level, but I doubt Toph's earthsense is that refined.

How else can she feel things that are not moving?

I don't know what a molelcular level is, so I have no argument.

I think she can see like a normal person, cuz if you remember in the Blind Bandit she had no problem switching the dress and the bandit outfit. It may sound silly, but I doubt that they made to many vibrations.

Yes, but it proves she can see mroe than vibrations, because give me one good reason her dress would vibrate. That sounds a little creepy...
That's no proof. It's conceivable. She placed it on a dresser she made of stone. As she moves around her dressing room, she finds the dresser. Whatever is on the dresser shakes in response to the shaking dresser. If she can pick up the miniscule vibrations of moving ants, the miniscule vibrations of moving garments would be a snap.

Toph may very well earth-see everything, but she thinks nothing of it, since the whole world is pretty much naked to her as far as she can tell (seeing underground must come in handy). Besides, clothing serves us in ways other than hiding skin. It protects us from the weather, the sun, and some plants and insects.

Yeah, she can 'see' cattle, too, but what would it be doing in her dressing room?

I don't think she "sees" things that cause vibrations individually. She only can feel the vibrations if they are touching the earth in some way. I don't think it's the vibrations all things have she feels, it's the vibrations caused when tings make contact with the earth. Just me though. I really don't think we should be speculating on whether or not Toph "sees" things naked. Have we sunk that low in the absense of new episodes?

She can see things that are touching things that are touching earth.

If she could only feel what was touching earth directly she'd only know where a person was standing, not what position they were in.

I always thought she just knew where people were standing and that's it.

My point was that she can sense the whole person when they make contact with the earth, not just which part of them is touching it.
