I truly don't believe that's what she sees. I believe that the earth is an extension of her body and therefore when someone touches the earth near her, it's like they touch her, so he feels it. I could be wrong, however.

So he feels it? I know what you mean, and that's pretty much it.

Oops. I meant she feels it. I just meant that I don't think she saw quite EVERYTHING that was in that screencap.

No. That picture is shown like that because it's a NICK show. If you really thought about it, She can see everything.

And if you had read the Your own quotes thread, you would see that I THOUGHT OF THE IDEA OF TOPH SEEING LIKE THAT??FIRST!!!

Which really isn't something I should be happy about

??? Seeing like what? The black and white outline? No, I think Mike and Bryan thought of that We can only go based off of what we know. And that picture is what we know. It's like sonar with her mind. I wish I could find a picture with all the little circles, but that IS what she sees!

My working idea about her earthbending sight thing works like radar or echolocation...vibrations caused by impacts of her feet and other objects contacting the groung are sent out and then bounce off?? something then it comes back to her...now about seeing uh..."everything" about a person...i think that's best left to the imagine nation...

Top sign you've gone too long with no new episodes:

You start wondering if Toph "sees" people naked with her sonar thing

    Oh, the places??we go

Toph is all blind. She "Sees" with feeling. And I'm just saying that the concept of "Seeing" like that would let you "See" everything on the...ahem...body. The fact that the chracters have clothes in the picture is because it is a NICKELODEON SHOW.

I'm sure Toph could see things underneath clothes if she tried And since this is a nick show, I don't think they'd show EVERYTHING Toph sees.

Toph's vibration vision is like Daredevil's sound vision or how bats and dolphins see with echolocation. If you saw Daredevil the movie, Daredevil saw the world much like Toph, only things were colored with blue rather than just black and white.

That's like trying to say you can read people's minds if you try hard enough.
