Did Avatar air in Japan?

    I heard on one of the earlier threads, that Avatar was supposed to air in Japan on Dec 1. Is this true? Or was I misinformed?

    you guys gotta hear avatar in german, i went to the german nick website and there anyone could go on turbonick and i went to avatar and the voices are so different,

    Heh, try watching Avatar with two different languages AT THE SAME TIME! That was sooo annoying and freaking!

    Yeah swedish nick has hadsome weird broadcasting(is that right word?) during a couple of days. Swedish and Norwegian at the same time! Luckely my tv has the ability to change language, I changed to english....*phew*

    katara's voice sounds allright, but aang, toph and zuko are way off, iroh i'm not so sure about though.

    this brings back great memories of when i watched that episode in hebrew, the voices sound exactly the same there as they do in german! weird huh?

    Saw it. Thanks a bunch! The characters sound awesome. I just looked up some sites to see if Avatar had aired in Japan. And I think it did. Here are two of the sites I just went to: animetopics.com/news and nickjapan.com.

    i saw it on distant horizon so i went on it to see if they showed avatar reruns and stuff which they do, alot

    I hope the sites I mentioned were useful. I already have an idea as to what the characters sound like. It's even easier, since I can speak Japanese. I'm betting Aang's voice-actor will be a girl.

    yatta=abbreviation of yarishimota=i did it

    janemba=demon

    tokogeru=lizard

    ich=1

    ni=2

    san=3

    chi/yon=4

    go=5

    roku=6 (yes, roku)

    hachi=7

    nana=8

    -san= suffix to add after names (i'm not sure when)

    haru=spring

    momo=peach

    yatta! i spoke japanese!
