Scorch (Elite Firebender)
Scorch had begun to rest for the night
Scorch woke up in the morning, Rin was snuggling him like a giant stuffed platapuss bear. Scorch sat up and watched her sleep for a few minutes before finally poking at her head. "Hey, sleepy head, wake up."
Her eyes flickered open, "just five more minutes Scorch."
"I don't think so," said Scorch as he lifted her head up, "we only have five more days to train before we have to leave and get Katara. Now... get up Rin." He pushed her all the way up into an upright position and she rubbed her eyes.
"What are you going to teach me today?" she asked.
"Well, today," said Scorch, "I want to get the whole Pyro thing out of the way ASAP."
"So, why'd you wake me up?" asked Rin.
"You need to go over the basics," said Scorch, "I bet you are a little tired from yesterday."
"Oh no," said Rin, "really?"
"Hey, don't be sarcastic with me," said Scorch, "I'm doing this for you, and you only." Scorch got up and felt fully energized. "Now, where's Kai?" He walked out of the chamber and heard a wolf howl in the distance, but ignored it.
"Good luck Scorch!" called Rin (Rin, tell about this). Scorch looked back and waved at Rin whom was, what seemed to be, waving at her. Scorch walked to the mountain Kai had been sitting at earlier and flew up it, not bothering taking the stairs. He saw Kai meditating on the mountain and he opened his eyes.
"Ah, Scorch," said Kai, "I've been waiting for you. Where's your friend?"
"Not sure," said Scorch, "can we please start?"
"Anxious are we?" asked Kai as he stood over Scorch, "I don't blame you. Pyro is quiet the hand full by the looks of it. Please, sit down." Scorch sat down and waited for Kai's next instruction. "Now, Pyro, like all animals, must drink. But this spirit hasn't been drinking water. He's been drinking your chakra, making you weak and him stronger."
Scorch nodded, "so, what can I do to stop him from, er, drinking?"
"The answer is quiet simple," said Kai, "you must open the chakra pools he drinks from and allow them to flow to others. Earth, deals with survival, blocked by fear. Water, deals with pleasure, blocked by guilt, Fire deals with willpower, blocked by shame. Heart deals with love, blocked by grief. Sound, deals with truth, blocked by lies. Light deals with insight, blocked by illusion. And finally, thought, deals with pure cosmic energy and blocked by earthly attachment. Pyro only feeds off of three of these. He??feeds off the earth, water, fire, and light chakras. You Scorch must??release the blocks of each of these??chakras, which will not be easily done."
"I understand," said Scorch.
Kai nodded, "good. The first three will be easy. But getting to the light chakra will be very difficult to reach, it being at the neck of the body, and the earth being at the bottom of the spine. We will start with the earth chakra and work our way from there."
"Okay," said Scorch.
Kai sat down next??to Scorch, "Now, think of everything that makes you scared. Visualize them." Scorch closed his eyes and saw the images of the Fire Nation taking over the world. He saw Rin's dead body on the ground, and finally he stood face to face with himself that slowly turned into Pyro and breathed fire all over Scorch. Scorch began to yell in pain. "Scorch, its not real, let it go!" Scorch stopped and shook it off and felt a sense of relief. "Good," said Kai, "you have just opened the earth chakra."
"Noooooooo!" exclaimed Pyro in Scorch's head, "I.... will.... not.... be.... denied!"
