It was the fourth night since Katara had been kidnapped. We had our plan to deal with the assassins who had taken her. Now all we could do was wait for the day to arrive. It was close to the night, since all everyone had did was train a bit more. Now, everyone was off doing their own thing. Rin and Scorch has gone into the temple to talk. Ami was hanging with Aang. And Jax was learning some new earth-bending skills from Toph. I sighed and continued my training as well. I had learned a few new tricks to use against that ice person. Shockingly, another air-bender had arrived with an injured person and Ami had spent most of the day trying to heal her. I had recongized her as the blacksmith who made my sword, cept she was now missing an arm. I couldn't worry about that however, since more important things came first.
"Hey Fang, are you busy?" I heard Ami call from below. I looked down and saw her standing at the base of the tower I was resting on.
"Not really. Why, what's up?" She motioned for me to follow. I shrugged and jumped down. She took me to a small little door and told me to go through. I almost dropped my jaw at the sight. There were flowers everywhere. "Wow, I can't believe this could happen up here".
"Niether did I, until Aang showed me earlier." I moved into the field, smelling the wonderful scents and the unhindered breeze. For an airbender, this was heaven. I looked and watched Ami, exploring the field as well. The field only helped to make me love her more. I turned away, then asked.
"So, are you sure your ready for this battle? I mean, you've been healing a lot of people lately, so you might be tired." I got no response. "Ami?" I looked back to see her laying face first on the ground. I ran over to her. "Ami, Ami, can you hear me". I checked her temperature. She was burning up. I cursed, picked her up and ran out of the field. Rin, who was passing by, saw me run by, carrying Ami.
"What happened?" she asked, keeping pace with me. "I think she has a fever, but she's burning up bad." We got her into one of the temple's rooms and put her on the bed. She seemed to be getting worse by the minute. "What the hell is making her this sick?" I could only hope it wasnt fatal.
