haha its funny you say that cuz, i could totally see him playing the part of sokka's master. although it would be pretty hard to not think of all of his other rolls he played while watching the movie.

I donno about m night or lucas, they both tell pretty crappy stories.

I say someone like the Wachowski bros should direct. That would be killer.

I think Jason Isaacs should play Zhao. He did the voice for the character on the show and in live action he plays a pretty good villian (Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter and Captain Hook in Peter Pan).

Lucas has a bunch of new Star Wars stuff coming out in the next couple years so I wouldn't count on him being involved.

NO. I do NOT want the entire movie to pretty much be entirely CGI. XP See 3 Star Wars prequels for details. The bad thing about using too much CGI is that it sort of sucks the life of the feel of the film. You'll know what I mean, if you watch the 3 Star Wars originals then the prequels and compare them with each other.

Yeah, I would feel better with Peter Jackson in charge. M. Night is still making crappy movies, just look The Happening.

Peter Jackson is done making trilogies, deal with it. And Peter Jackson isn't an Avatard.

i hate that its live action but i do want to see it.

i only have a few concerns
    1. the actors have to look like the characters which is the most important part of the movie
    2. realistic breath taking backgrounds cause the show has it.
    3. the martial arts they better be good.

i'm worried they could use too much CGI to where it looks ridiculous. And M.Night doing it makes me nervous, but since Bryke will be executive producers on it i have faith.

    Breath taking backgrounds = gettable
Actors that look like the characters = gettable
Martial artists that look like the characters = ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE

The thing is, the main fire benders and Aang have to be martial artists... If the form of their attacks sucks, no amount of CGI will make it look good. Earth bending (Hung Gar) can kind of sort of be taught since the forms themselves are simple and the water bending usually isn't close range either. Actually, since the Aang character has to be light it won't be too bad if they have him on strings all the time, but when you get to Book 2/3 Azula and Zuko (or even Zuko v. Zhao) you can't just take some pretty boy and expect him to handle it. The Jet part is hard too, I train in Martial Arts (with weapons) and look like a tanner Jet, but I'm a little short for the part. I'd make a good stunt double, but there are so many up close face shots then switches would hard to fake between a double and the actor. (summary: They need acrobatic actors at the very least)

They will most likely need older actors too. I dont see a 12 year old learning everything that the character Aang needs to know.
