It was actually originally supposed to be two different episodes, but then they made it into a movie.

That's what they're doing with The Secret of the Fire Nation, right?

yah it think thats a movie aswell but unfortunately its about 1 month after this movie *le sigh*

I dont really watch the show that often, because its time slot isnt really conveinent for my schedule, but I do watch when I can and I have a quick question.... So in the world they live in there are Benders (Earth, Fire, Water, and Air) and the Avatar that can bend all four, but then are there just plain people who can't bend anything? And if so, what happened to them? like why arent they endowed with an ability like so many others?

Well, non benders are still there, but we don't really know how one person can bend and the other can't.

Some of us believe it to be a spiritual thing, where you have to have the right mindset in order for it to work, others say its at least partly a matter of genetics.

Benders only make up a small percentage of the population. Most people can't bend anything at all. No one knows exactly why (except maybe the creators) but everyone has a hunch that it either has to do with how much you believe in spiritual matters, or it could be genetics. For example, Katara (who can bend) is willing to except almost anything that is out of the ordinary. On the other hand, Sokka (who can't bend) is the paranoid, logic-loving guy who needs an explanation to back things up. Hope that answers your question!

So as to not clutter up the forum with a pointless thread and because people are actually talking about the thread topics in the pinned threads I'll post this here. I went to iTunes to see if the new episodes were ready for download yet (Nope), I noticed at the TV Shows page in the Music Store that Under "Today's Top Season Passes" Number 1 was Avatar: The Last Airbender... Cool (to me that is)!

So to be "on-topic" I'll ask if anyone else noticed this? I hadn't been to iTunes Music Store in awhile and didn't know how long this had been there.

I am an adult (or so I'm told), but I can only tell you why I like the program. It has a plausible continuing-story line with likable characters and pleasing animation. The stories have adventure, intelligence, humor, and a feel for history.
