    From just one source out of a book!? What book do you have to do... gosh good luck on that, if it were me I would probably have everything in quotation marks and copy it right out of the book. Thats got to be hard trying to put it into your own words from one source. That does suck

    From just one source out of a book!? What book do you have to do... gosh good luck on that, if it were me I would probably have everything in quotation marks and copy it right out of the book. Thats got to be hard trying to put it into your own words from one source. That does suck


    I'm not sure, we haven't officially got the assignment yet, but my teach said we'll probably get started on it at the end of the third quarter, which is coming up in about 3 weeks I think. Grrr...

    What class do you have to do this for?? Its probably a dumb question but I've only done term papers in English class so I assume that mostly all term papers are done in an English type class. I donno, but our teacher is a spaz who is really really fired up about this entire project. I can't even compare her to anyone other than meybe Lisa Simpson/ Edith Bunker from all in the Family. If that give you a personality image

    lol its for English. As it stands now I think I'm failing the course right now, but we just had a 100 point test and 50 point project due, and another big project coming up as well. The only reason I think I'm failing is b/c I haven't done a lot of the homework.

    I've slacked in that class too, mainly because there was this book that she really really liked called Great Expectations from Charles Dickens that we spent 3 monthes on reading, watching movies, acting out, projects, and worksheets to do. Yeah pick a charles dickens book and spend three months on it. your grade definitely drops because it got so boring. I'd rather do math or something

    I know exactly what you mean!! My teacher liked that book too and it was SOOOOO boring!! I'm mean, besides the bad story line, what kind of name is Pip?? Who would name their kid that??

    Exactly on about every chapter she got all worked up, Oh something really really important is going to happen in these two chapters (like the magwitch/ compeyson fight, and estella's family connections etc.) so I think I'll make up a quiz over them so you actually read the chapters. dumb but no doubtly effective

    My teacher gave us quizes too, just to make sure we were reading the book. But everyday, we would have a class discussion on the reading, so I just took notes and studied them for the quizes! I virtually didn't have to read much at all! ^^

    Does your teacher have you reading another book now, or are you doing projects. Pooldude and I are getting into the term paper season which I'm kinda against right now, especially this notecard business. But its better than Great Ex. or Lord of the Flies.

    The John Scopes trial. John Scopes was a teacher in Tennessee (I think) and in that state it was illegal to teach evolution or anything with the words "Charles Darwin" in it. John Scopes read something to his science classes about that and was being arrested. It was a trial that took place in the early 20th century. The rest you can look up.

    I didn't like it that much. But then again my teacher (who was a temp. replacement) who taught the book probably ruined it for me...

    My friends and I may be stupid^^ but we're not that stupid! We've tried that! We click the sign-up, and fill in all the info. Then you get this message saying you have to check your e-mail to continue the process...and well...we don't get the e-mail...what should we do?!
