    Here's my shot at this:

Part one: I've wondered and tried to figure that out ever since I first read your question, PrincessZula. I haven't been able to figure out if he had that mark before he fought Katara-- I see three possibilities:
    1. He burned himself when he was lying on his side shivering in that cavern and he had to use his fire breath to warm himself up.
    2. It's a frostbite/ice "burn" from when he took a nap in that nice little glacier Katara made for him.
    3. It's a goof... although it was prominently displayed, so I kind of doubt this.

Part two: I noticed that, but I assume that it's because they are all ladies of the Water Tribe. Maybe it's a traditional hairstyle.

Part three: Darn. Good thinking! I didn't catch that one. I guess the writers didn't either, ha!

Was Zuko's Blue Spirit mask destroyed during Zhao's assassination attempt (burned down with Zuko's ship)?

AHA!!!! Finally I have the comfort of knowing that I'm not the only one who that of that. I think that, without a doubt, the mask was destroyed. I also think that the writers chose to use this form of assassination attempt (as opposed to maybe poison or something) to let the fans know that, unless Zuko finds another mask, the Blue Spirit isn't making a comeback. I think that the only possibility of this happening is if Zuko:
    a) Finds an identical mask
    b) Finds a new mask and then gets a brand new, shiney nickname (hmmmm....I wonder what Zuko would think of "the Mauve Spirit" )
    c) .....Plotholes??? Hey the writers don't hafta explain everything...

Ok this question has gone unanswered from last time...

Ok in the season finally you'll notice that Zuko does not have a burn/buise like thing on his jaw line, but after he makes it to the snow cave he has it on his jaw all off a sudden. How did he get that one. And #2 is it just me or does Gran Gran, Katara, and Yugota have the same hair style... and #3 How did the Xishuru (sp) track Katara's scent to the Crazy Medicine Woman when she was laying on Appa sick w/Sokka,and Aang was the one that went up there? Or was she picking plants down by that place they were staying at which does seem like a long way to walk

    #1 - Probably just a goof
#2 - I believe you are correct. Many women in the show have that hairstyle, as I believe Azula does too (as I'm looking at her pic from The Storm). Jun and Suki seem to be the only exceptions so far.
#3 - I'm guessing the Xirxiu tracks all movements from the air as well (that being the only possible way it could have tracked her all the way thru the world, since they mostly travel on Appa) so I am guessing it just followed the path they were traveling *shrugs* And yes she was outside picking plants when we saw her in ep 15. Notice she didnt have the big building around her...the Xirxiu wouldnt have destroyed the entire thing if she was inside it (some of the walls would still be in tact).

Ok here another good one and partly because I can't remeber but What was the name of Katara and Sokka dad??? I think Bato said it was Kota and Which one of the parents was a waterbender??? Katara's mother or father... and better yet who was the waterbender Gran Gran or her husband? If bending was genetic which I still think it partly is, but thats because my brain is cramed full of biology so I can't seem to think out side the box right now. Sometimes its nice not knowing alot, and not having a friggn explaination for everything

Katara's mother, who was later killed by fire warriors, taught Katara waterbending. Bato called Sokka and Katara Kota's children. No one gave any indication that Kota was a waterbender, only a warrior. Pakku was arranged to marry Kana, but she didn't want to marry him. She fled toward the Southern Water Tribe, was fortunate not to have been killed along the way, and married someone else. I doubt the Northern Water Tribe would have known the name of Kana's children because they would have feared Fire Nation attacks, and didn't someone mention that they fought the Fire Nation 85 years ago? That's a long time to be out of communication.

I don't think they are married, but they were supposed to be, until Kana (Gran Gran) fled to the Southern Water Tribe. It was an arranged marriage.

Each episode contains only 4 episodes. At the price Nick is asking per DVD you'll be forking over about $85 for the whole set. Or you could wait for the box set, which won't nearly be that much.

But of course if Amazon offers them for $12 each you'll only be paying $60 (provided they sell them all for the discounted price of $12) but that's still a lot, especially for a cartoon.

To put this in perspective, season 1 of 24 has 24 episodes on it and is available for $60 and has some cool extras. And that is a high-priced network TV show. Avatar is a $1 million/episode Nickelodeon creation. I'd imagine it takes at least $15-20 million to make an episode of 24 (based on the cast they have, as well as the music, the clock, the exceptional writing, all the different places they have to rent and the technology they use...lots of cell phones, and the CTU building must take a lot to keep running).

So really if you buy these DVDs you are fueling Nickelodeon's multi-million dollar a year business, and they will continue to do what they have been doing. However, if you don't buy the DVD maybe they will change.

The fact that Spongebob gets a fifth season and Danny Phantom doesn't even get to see a fourth is outrageous.

Shows like Seinfeld has box sets that are about $80-100 depending on where you shop.

I'll miss the BS but I agree. Besides, why in the world would Zuko want to assume that guise again when there's fifty-gazillion wanted posters of the Blue Spirit? (I'll take a risk and make the assumption that Zuko is aware of that.) Maybe he'll adopt some other persona. Hey, maybe Iroh will get a disguise too! After all, they'll have to spend a lot more time on land this season unless they get a better craft than that rickety thing they wound up floating around on. Or unless they start traveling via flying bison.

Is everyone REALLY on the lookout for the Blue Spirit? If someone saw the Blue Spirit again, would the Blue Spirit be immediately captured? How would the Earth Kingdom people know about the BS? Does Ozai know that the BS freed the Avatar, or is that something Zhao wanted to keep under wraps? Here's another question: who knows/suspects that the Blue Spirit is Zuko? Zhao, Ozai, Iroh...? Thank you for any responses!
