Michael Dante Dimartino is one of the creators. Dante Dimartino is related to him somehow. I'm wondering how they were related and how he died.

well we can count the firebending master as their "adventure", its not exactly an adventure, but i'm guessing they wont have that moment in the finale, and since we kind of know the plot of EIP we can assume it won't happen there too, so only that is left

Look at the commercial I pointed out. If it was talking about the creator, it would have said "Dedicated to Michael Dante Dimartino," not just "Dante Dimartino." I never heard of a memorial only using a person's middle and last name before, have you?
