Priceless. LOL
As unfortunate as it is, I just heard a rumor (meaning an unconfirmed story that's probably full of bull) that Nick has decided not to permit the avatar franchise to continue beyond the already announced movie trilogy, which may not even be that, depending on ticket sales. That means no spinoff, no more games, and definately no more avatar on nick.
Rumor. From a guy who usually plays practical jokes with this sort of stuff.
I mildly trust his word when he swears on a holy book, but I honestly doubt he's Rastafarian.
But then again... rumor true or not... nick might just let avatar "blow over" and wait till we "rabid fans" find something else to "cling to."

PAL, NTSC and SECAM don't affect DVDs though (well they do but not much). DVDs come in one of 7 region codes, region 1 is the most of North America, Region is the EU and a number of other places, you also have "region 0" (the seventh one) which means it can be played anywhere I am not sure if you get region 0 DVDs, since Avatar is relleased in the USA it would most likely have region 1 coding, since Psyche987 (aas well as a number of others here) are from a country insie the EU our DVD players are most liely region 2 encoding so we most likely can't play Avatar, unless it is region 0 or we use cerytain emulation software on our computers.

Personally I think they are test marketing our fervor with the DVD May 6th. Everyone is soooo concerned about not giving Nick a dime (understandable) but really what they're withholding is giving Avatar, Mike and Bryan a chance to flourish or fail in the end.
If there was ever a time for us to need to be fanatical about Avatar, this is it.
Well, we thought that helping Avatar win the Kid's Choice Awards would make them treat Avatar better, and obviously that plan failed. But I guess money is a much bigger motivator than anything.
I am conflicted; I would love to buy the DVD, but I also want to wait for the boxed set.
What's better is if people buy the Avatar DVDs for their friends
More sales = More happiness points

I don't have any friends who like Avatar.
(This is basically a bump).

Make sure they can watch region 1 DVDs.
if avatards by the dvd it will increase the chances for a spinoff series.
