Overlandia
Overlandia (known as Outlandia from 2024 to 2025) is the second and current world map of SpongeCraft Frontiers. Following the loss of the Frontierlands with the server's January 2024 outage, it was decided that, with the server's reboot in February, a completely new map would be introduced. Since the server had been upgraded to 1.14.4 after launch, the SCF op team made the decision to use a seed that OWM had posted to the SBC Discord in October 2020, which he had jokingly claimed at the time that a new SpongeCraft server would use. It is a highly varied map which starts players near a mushroom island, itself in proximity to a number of wildly different biomes.
The current unofficial capital of Overlandia is Twinleaf Town. Its first settlement, Truffleville, remains abandoned on the beginning mushroom island.
Trivia
- The map was originally named Outlandia, after the capital city of the same name from Outland Spongecraftia in SpongeCraft Classic. Due to the return of Spongecraftia to the server, the world was renamed in January 2025 to avoid confusion between the two.
