Halibut is a member that joined the site on February 25, 2013. Since joining, he was very active and popular with the community, often most active in music discussions. He received controversy however during May-June 2014 due to bashing SBC and its inactivity during those months on SBM.
Since then, he cleaned up his image, and became regularly active on the site. He left the site after August 2017 due to personal real life issues, but returned on April 1st, 2018. He continued to be active and was a member of the Band Geeks. While once maintaining a respectable reputation, he tainted his image among several due to bitterly attacking members for petty reasons throughout 2020 and enabling the Cycord group's toxic behavior. He left the community due to this in summer 2020 and while some have forgiven him since, he has remained a polarizing figure.
