March Madness 2020 was the eighth annual March Madness, which began March 1st, 2020, and concluded March 31st, 2020. The site's brand new teams, the Krusty Krew and the Chum Buddies, faced off against each other for the first time, along with unaffiliated players known as "Solos". In the end, the Krusty Krew won.

Whodunnit?
Whodunnit returned again for the event. The goal this time was to figure out what happened to the gang's basketball game tickets. The following characters were suspects: Sandy, Larry, SpongeBob, Squidward, Patrick and Mr. Krabs. On select days during the event, the characters came on and released their anecdote on what happened. The characters would also come on to answer user's questions as well in their topics. Users had to PM jjs who they think the culprit is. On March 31st, the culprit was revealed to be Squidward. Dman got it correct for the Krusty Krew, Fred got it correct for the Chum Buddies, and Hayden got it correct for the Solos.
Basketball Hunt
A basketball hunt was held from March 15th, 2020 to March 31st, 2020. Whoever found all 6 balls gained a point for their team, 500 doubloons, 10 experience points, and a Sandy Basketball icon to display in their portfolio.
