I'll tell my answer I like Total Drama Island WAY MORE then the disappointing Total Drama Action the creators have lost it , the first season had the characters more mature and more interesting to watch now there just plain annoying and get on my nerves the first season was more exciting too and more drama and was more funny , this season has just lost it there was only 2 or 3 good episodes in this season so far
I'm not saying this season is terrible its just not as good as the first season I was expecting this season to be better but it isn't

    What do you think ?

I think TDI is better than TDA because the characters are... how should I put this? Some of them seem way too different from before, in a bad way, and I feel that they, as characters, were more respectable in TDI. Of course, that's just one guy's opinion.

As for filler, TDI had a few filler episodes too, you know. Remember "Brunch of Disgustingness"? And the one with Mr. Coconut? No one got voted off those episodes. (Not sure if the first episode counts since it's technically part of a two-parter)

This is, of course, not saying that I hate TDA. I don't. In fact, I find it to be one of the few modern-day cartoons that are actually worth watching. I just like TDI more, and I'm sure that if I started watching Total Drama with TDA instead of TDI I probably wouldn't have become a fan.

I would pick Total Drama Island, it was way more better and very funny and quite original. The second season however, well I mean it was ok, but I was kinda dissapointed with the first episode but for now it's good at an average level, Total Drama Island wins by a long shot for me!

Let's see... TDI was longer, characters weren't annoying (I compare them to Trent in this season), there was an actual villain, no breaks, someone was voted out every (or almost every) episode, not predictable (sure, at times it was, but not overall)

TDA is shorter, characters are more annoying, there is no actual villain, too many breaks, too many filler challenges, extremely predictable.

So yea, TDI is WAY better than TDA.

I think Total Drama Island was alot better then Total Drama Action. In season 1 the characters did not seem as annoying, well there was a couple but not as much as there is now. TDI had a villain Heather TDA does not have one. They kinda tried to make Justin the villain but it just kinda stoped. And TDI was much longer then TDA.

I like Total Drama Action more because now that ALL of the characters have developed, and the whole movie set thing is interesting. I like Total Drama Action a lot better.

    1. TDA is projected to be as long as TDI, with reward-challenge only episodes (which are not fillers, seeing as they offer just as much development, competition and plot as the eliminations) and Aftermath specials taking it to what I've heard being 29. The only reason it's 'shorter' is because it's still in progress.

    2. TDI actually had a fairly predictable plot. Many of the episodes of both TDI (and TDA) foreshadow who will be voted off, or at least who will be in the bottom two, by the content of the episode. Think: Noah, Katie, Beth, Courtney, Harold, Eva (second time), Trent, Lindsay, Izzy (second time), Geoff, and Heather. And those are just the obvious ones.

    3. How can they be more or less annoying? They're the same characters! And gee, sorry Trent got some character development.

    4. Don't count your villans before they're through, Justin's got quite a bit going in his favor right now, and Courtney's back to antagonize everyone.

finally someone agrees with me. im sure the only reason everyones siding with TDI is because someone was eliminated every episode. excuse me for wanting reward challenges to make the season longer and better.

    1. Fine
    2. Every single elimination this season besides DJ was obvious.
    3. Difference between good and bad character development. Some characters I already thought were annoying because I hated them to start with, others were made that way. They went in the wrong direction imo.
    4. Doesn't matter how much time Justin has left, point is, he's done jack, and it's already extremely close to the merge. And if my prediction is right (which I'm almost positive it is) he'll get 1 person out (*coughLINDSAYcough*) and that's it, and Courtney isn't a villain, even though she'll probably do more in that department than Justin.

    I'm defending Total Drama Action.

    1. More screen time for a lot of characters. Remember Justin last season? He barely talked! Beth didn't get a lot of screen time either! This season, the characters are more likable, because they're all getting screen time, and now that they have habituated to their reality show surrounding, they can give us more to work with.

    2. Character Development. Last season, Lindsay was basically Heather's assistant, and this season, she's up and on her own. Same with Beth.

    3. The setting. A movie set idea is incredibly original, and sounds perfect. I haven't heard of any show that has challenges based on movies, and as a movie-buff, I think it's fantastic.

    4. More SCENE devlopment. Because someone isn't voted off every episode, we see what could cause one's elimination, and we see the character's development with each other.

I still don't get why people think Total Drama Action is a dissapointment. If you don't like the show, then why are you here??

TDI's better because it's the original and has more characters. TDA is also pretty good, bu tit doesn't live up to the predecessor. I do like the fact that there are more episodes where the characters don't get eliminated. Just tortured, lol.

Again with the Justin thing, you're being impatient. The only thing Heather did before the merge was boss around Lindsay and Beth, and annoy her team. After the merge, she kissed Trent, turned completely on Lindsay, and got her head shaved. He's got plenty of damn time.
