What were some big strategy mistakes? Specifically about votes.

I think that voting Beth off instead of Owen, WHO ATE THE WHOLE PLATE OF RIBS, was horrible. They were more worried about some superstition rather than who was really the reason they lost. Highly illogical.

I think a big mistake was when the guys made their own alliance and the girls knew it but didnt vote together. They divided their vote and Bridgette got voted off.

It was a secret ballot and nobody was really in alliance with Heather so they should've voted her off, her or Duncan. And how would they know if Geoff chose Bridgette? It's a secret ballot.

i dont know why they like never voted off Heather. i know that the creators needed her to make the series Total Drama Island, but if they were real people, why would they not vote her off(i know some of them were because of immunity).

I know! They would NEVER have kept her if this were real, that's why CN and Teletoon need to work on a REAL TDI. They may need to alter some challenges to make them less lethal but they could do it and it would still be fun to watch.

I think it was a mistake keeping Lindsay and voting off noah in the dodgeball challenge. Why, because she has only been useful in the extreme sports challenge! She screws up more then being useful! At least Noah had a brain, so he would have been smart enough to know what not to do, unlike Lindsay!

    I hate Lindsay!!!!!!!!!!

A mistake the killer bass made was voting eva off. She could've easily won dodgeball for them instead of having to wake up duncan. She also could've easily won basic straining and X-treme Torture.

I forgot to add that even though she threw a temper tantrum, she is really useful in some challenges unlike courtney, katie, and sadie (especially sadie)

So why isn't there a real TDI? We aren't puppets in some producers plan, we control our destiny. Oe do we, well, I guess if you were to take the Enlightened approach, we are all created by a supreme being who has endowed us with free will. There is hatred and evil because of free will but if there were not free will then we probably wouldn't be alive, so we DO have free will. Then again the older, Catholic argument is that whatever happens, it's God's plan. From birth to war, that's God. God is controlling everyone to an extent in this theory, this could make it that we are being controlled but not within our knowledge.

Then again, if we were cartoon characters, would we know. If we were in a computer simulation, would we know? What if our cartoon was stopped, what if someone wiped the hard drive we are on? Are we meaningless pawns worshipping animators/end users? We can't really know but you do wonder.

As a final thought, state defensably that we are or are not in a cartoon/computer sim. You must be able to defend your argument.

If we are, we are. If we aren't, we aren't. I really don't care either way.

My question also raises the point. Do we exist? You have to define existence because if we are in a simulation of some sort, we could never know . I'll point to the Sims of our SimCity and Sims games, they probably don't know that they're in a simulation but we certainly do. This makes it all the more likely that we are not exactly "real" while we are relatively real to everything around us. Nothing does empirically exist, it just exists relative to what surrounds it.

I'd like to point to Descartes' quote "Cogito, ergo sum" or "I think, therefore I am." This means that if we are thinking about whether or not we exist, we must exist relative to this place we are in. If we are in simulation, what does this make God? The programmer, the beings that created us.

And in case your head hasn't imploded yet, what if the beings that created the simulation that we are in are in a simulation themselves?

Then there must be an endless cycle of simulations. Excuss me while I go and stop my head from bleeding now.

This has opened my mind. I now realize that nothing really does exist, it just seems to exist relative to it's surroundings.

When I say "real version of TDI" know I mean one that we can enter. We may not be real but it's real to us.

And even if we are in a simulation/cartoon, it doesn't matter. We still should live our lives and fix our problems, if we are indeed in a simulation, how could it be different than being materially real? It's the only reality we get so we should help the simulation we may be in the most we can. But still, YAY! I'm in a computer that can make trillions of galaxies and give its tiny, tiny, infinitesimally unimportant to the whole sim, life forms conscious thought!

This reminds me of that South Park episode, where Kyle was wondering if he exists, and then he actually lived outside of reality. Things like that come up every often, and then you feel really weird. It makes you feel weird.

Wow that went off topic.... well a stratigy mistake was voting Courtney over Tyler, Tyler may suck at sports but Courtney is worse! Like in the cliff jump at least Tyler jumped! Courtney didn't and costed them the game! And she costed them the game again in phobia factor! Tyler just costed them a point! Meaning Tyler is more useful then Courtney!

Tyler hurt the team in the dodgeball challenge, and hit a lot of his teammates. They're probably still a little sore about that. Besides, even if Courtney had jumped, the score would have been 6-7...the Bass would have still lost. For crying out loud, only three people on the bass team faced their fears in that challenge. Courtney wasn't alone in the fact that she couldn't take that dive.f

Well, as for a strategy mistake, what about Wawanakwa Gone Wild? Duncan, Geoff, Gwen, LeShawna, and Owen could have teamed up and gotten rid of Heather. Duncan trying to team up with her, what was that? The guys alliance was still somewhat strong, with three people in it. After getting rid of Heather, they would control the vote, or at least be able to tie. Izzy, being the psycho she is, could get voted off by LeShawna or Gwen in the next round, leaving Duncan the head of the majority vote.
