Well, honestly, I saw the two movies for the first time last weekend! I had Madagascar 2 on DVD but didn't want to watch it until I've watched the first one, and well, it was on TBS Sunday night! I really liked them, but I think the first one was a little better, even though the penguins have more participation on the 2nd one, but they're amazing movies!

They're OK, though not amazing. My favorite parts were the penguin ones, no wonder I like this show more then the films.

I liked "Madagascar Escape 2 Africa" better. It had a better plot, more humor, and the characters were more empathetic and likable in the sequel. Enough said!

I thought the second one was funnier but the first one was more original. Of course, it's always hard for a sequel to be more original than the original.

I was appaled at the fact they made my favourite film a sequel, and even more so when I found out it was going to be a trilogy.

Number 2, I could not enjoy a lot, because of the reason that it just ruined the perfect ending of number 1.

    Madagascar-10/10
    Madagascar 2-7/10

I hated the character changes too in Number 2.

I loved both of the Madagascar movies! But if I had to choose, I think the first one would be my favorite, it was the original and started off the cool story about the gang of Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Gloria the hippo, and Melman the giraffe. They aren't in the tv series so I miss them now obviously. It showed a lot of cool surroundings and events on the island, which of course was Madagascar. There was a lot of good and funny moments with the characters, and there was also the funny and memorable King Julien singing "I like to move it move it!" "I like to move it move it!" "Ya like ta? MOVE IT!" Ha ha ha! THat wass the best! The movie also had good music. And finally Madagascar 1 also has a lot of memories too since it came out in theaters way back in the good old days of 2005.

The scond one was great too though, and was a nice second addition which is more modern and up to date since it came out in theaters in November of 2008. Hey that rhymed! Well I think the second movie was fantastic and had a fabulous ending. And I loved seeing all the good old animals from the original Madagascar again! The penguins also did a great job in the movie, so did the monkeys! And it also adds on the missing parts to the story of how Alex was brought to Cnetral Park Zoo to become a well-trained and entertaining lion to zoo animal viewers! This movie was also hilarious!

Well that wraps up my Madagascar movies essay. Well at least for now so... to be continued...

To me it looks like the first Madagascar movie way back in the day involved more of the leemers, I also loved the beautiful island surroundings.

Last year with the second movie, Alex and his friends wnet to Africa, where the movie showed more of the lions it seems like. I thought Alex's parents were really good! This movie actually I don't think shows the zoo in Manhattan except for maybe intro scenes showing the past and present to where Alex is at today.

That sounds a whole lot better than the second. I only really liked number 2 because of the nice scenery.

The makers of the movies agree that the 2nd one is better then the first, Ben Stiller (Voice of Alex) said it in the special features about the making of this fiilm.
