I agree, the writers are just unfair to him.

You're talking about Good Neighbors there. Also, in Squidward the Unfriendly Ghost, Patrick did suspect Squidward hated him and SpongeBob, although they doubted it (I think it was that episode).

No, not that one. I was talking about the one where Spongebob and Patrick thought Squidward was a wild animal, then Squidward was taken to a zoo and marked as a unknown specimen

Yeah, and there have been just few episodes in which he suceeds, like Band Geeks and House Fancy, but most of the time the episode are all about how Squidward gets annoyed, and have you notice how most of the episodes end with a grunt, quote or "huh?" from Squidward, as if he were the main character after SB of something.

It might be strange, but doesn't Squidward have a winning moment in both band episodes(Band geeks and Plankton and the Patty Stealers)?

    Welcome to TV.com

Yeah, I think that Squidward always has bad luck because the writers want him to. They just want Squidward to be a bad charecter with bad luck. Squidward gets picked to much, like 1 out of every 3 episodes.

Also, Squidward suceeds in two out of every fifty episodes. It's just not right! There had only been four episodes when Squidward has suceeded: Band Geeks, Best Day Ever, House Fancy, and Suction Cup Symphony. But that's it! He could have suceeded in SquidBob TentaclePants, but Sandy ruined the moment. He could have suceeded in Slimy Dancing, but SpongeBob ruined the moment. The writers are just too hard on him! It's just extremely unfair! Thank goodness SpongeBob and Patrick have gotten this pain once (A Life in a Day). Maybe they would know how it feels to Squidward.

we weren't talking about feelings (at least I wasn't) I was wondering what was weird about thinking a cartoon character is treated bad. Yes it is a drawing but i think RaeandAnasRock what thinking squidward more of a character than a drawing. I don't think thats 'weird'

So? He may be just a drawing, but that's the whole point of Animation!!! Cartoon Characters are brought to life you know, I think when someone says a Cartoon Character doesn't have feelings its like saying a Wild Animal doesn't have feelings, but they do. At least I know the Voice Actor for Squidward does, who is Rodger Bumpass.

Didn't Squid move in one of the episodes, which causes him to go loopy and act like Spongebob and Patrick. Forcing him to leave because the other squids didn't like him. Also Spongbob & Patrick try to get him back.
