    I was so upset I stayed up all night watching SpongeBob, and Karate Island was number 1

    That's quite strange and it was also the only episode that was like asian  because they fighted more karate and for that reason it could be also why it reached #1 in the Best Day Ever Marathon.

    Yeah, that episode was really pointless. It was my least favorite. I only enjoy like 9 episodes of season 4(out of like 40-just an estimate). I don't get how the season 4 eps got at the top.

    I think the reason why is because everybody loved the various movie parodies Karate Island was doing, including a few references to Tarantino's Kill Bill and Bruce Lee's Game Of Death and Enter The Dragon.

    I mean, if you never watch those kinds of movies, then you might not get all the jokes in the episode.

    the handsigns sandy was doing refered to naruto (I hate nick most of the time for copying my favorite shows, they are lucky spongebob is cool)
