Why Is Patrick So Dumb?

    Have you ever noticed how in past seasons, Patrick's stupidity was really funny (Im With Stupid, Life Of Crime). But did you notice that the creaters never really went overboard with Patrick and made him look REALLY stupid. Well, that's what they're doing now. I mean, COME ON, in Driven To Tears, he dumped his car in the dumpster because he though "E" means End!!!! I mean, how stupid can you get!!!! I don't know how the writers think this is funny, because it's not, it's just disturbing. Give your opinion on the subject.

    um u should remember that this is a show for little kids. they're going to find stuff like that funny.

    I didn`t really mind when it was small , but Pat no Pay , and Dounut of Shame were pretty disturbing

    That's why I don't like "Rise and Shine", "Donut of Shame", and "Pat No Pay". They're really exaggerating there.

    ive noticed that Patrick has gotten a little dumber as well. He also seems to be a little more mean as well. Like in the episode Sing a Song for Patrick.......he took S/B money.


    BTW--did you know that starfish dont have brains? Since the creators of S/B are fimilar with marine biology i bet thats why they decided to make patrick dumb.

    Thats like asking: How can you grill burgers under water? If it were an electric grill, they would all be electrocuted and if it were a gas grill, it wouldnt work under water.

    Someone said it was because starfish dont have brains, neither do Sponges, neither one have eyes and mouths as well.

    If you boil this down to its essence, very little that goes on makes any sense at all - thats why it helps to be intoxicated when watching this show.

    SpongeBob is not dumb, just Patrick is.

    Shows are funnier if one character is not very bright, like Cosmo from The Fairly Odd Parents, Sheen form Jimmy Neutron, Chelsey from That's So Raven and London from the Suite Life.

    You know, they changed Cosmo, too. In the first season he was less naive and a lot more mature, but to appeal to little kids his personality was extremely ramped out for humor effect.

    Not a very good question to ask, because the creators wanted him or just made him dumb, and that's his style! Sometimes he acts dumb, sometimes he says something intelligent.
