Sure, season 4 got off on a really rocky start among judgemental fans here, but when you look back, season 4 had some really good episodes to come out like "Have You Seen This Snail" and "Krusty Towers", which are still getting good reviews here. The first half of season 5 was proving itself to be a bit of an improvement (what with episodes like "Roller Cowards" and "Sing a Song of Patrick"), but it eventually got too crazy and subpar in plotlines, especially with those three-story episodes. Season 6 and some goods (i.e. "Krusty Krushers" and "Not Normal) and some bads (i.e. "Penny Foolish" and the ever-so-trampled "The Splinter"). Now, season 7, from the episodes that have aired so far, is proving to be (for me, at least) a big comeback with the surprisingly possitively-reviewed "Single Cell Anniversary" and the other episodes that have some of the adult-platformed jokes that we loved in Seasons 2 and 3. I adored all the episodes that premiered during the Ultimate SpongeBob SpongeBash and I can't wait to see what they have in store next. I can really tell that they're doing their best to hire the top determined writers for the job and if they're willing to show the same effort in all future episodes, then I don't care if there's no end in sight! |
