Why does Spongbob always have crude humor on the show?

What do you think of the crude humor?

    I've always watched Spongbob and I like most of the episodes, but why is there always like a butt crack or something on the show? I mean little kids watch it, so I don't think it's very nice to show something like that on a kids cartoon. But I still love Spongbob!

    Yeah but did you see the episode Spy Buddies? Patrick was wearing the phone pants, Spongebob had to lean his face right next to Patrick's butt to talk to Mr. Krabs! And then he had to put a quarter in Patrick's butt crack to make a call! Remember? Here's the line.

    Operator: If you's like to make a call please deposite 25 cents.

    And Spongebob held up the quarter to Patrick's butt.

    I don't like it at all. It's funny at rare points, but it's extremely crude at all the others.

    I hate the term "jumped the shark". As far as I see it, SpongeBob is still on the air, and getting tremendous ratings as well. So I guess you're the only one who thinks that way.

    patrick's gum - gummy

    the ick from fungus among us

    the battle of bikini bottom in general

    plankton hanging out of spongebob's nose in krabby road

    patty the krabby patty in to love a patty

    i can name a lot more but i don't have the time to name all of them
