Squidward is always being bothered by Spongebob. Why can't he just get a restraining order against Spongebob? They could put a braclet on Spongebob's ankle, and he would have to stay 10 ft away from him. If he is less then 10 ft away from him,Spongebob would get shocked. It's that simple.

Because SpongeBob will always have a loophole to escape it. But it would take time for them to issue the restraining order and I doubt that Squidward would want to waste all of that priceless time in which he could be painting or playing clarinets.

Well, they wouldn't show something that complex in a children's program now would they? Plus, SpongeBob lives underwater, so wouldn't the shock kill him?

True. He seems like more a do-it-yourself-er. When he could have hired someone to fix the security system in "Good Neighbors", he went ahead and did it himself. Or when he could have hired someone to fix the fence for him in "Breath of Fresh Squidward", he wanted to test it out or whatever by himself. Or when he wanted to build a gate from Gary in "Once Bitten", he made a cheap one and got Gary a splinter...

if Squid got a restraining order it would make the show a bit less fun...maybe one day he will get on but somehow it'll end badly for him anyway -_-

If Squidward was the sueing type and did put a ring around SpongeBob's leg, that would ruin the show.

Well at the end of the episode Squidward could relize that even though Spongebob is annoying, they are friends (Sorta) Just the Simpsons episode where Lisa got restraining order against Bart.

Squidward likes him but is to scared to admitt it. In the episode Fools in April, Squidward admitts he likes SpongeBob, but he goes crazy to shake off that he said that.
