I know ya’ll have already heard this before, but
I just got to get this off my chest. The people behind Spongebob are just flat
out killing the show. Yes, I’m talking about season 4 everybody. Heck, they’re even the Patchy’s specials! To me, just about all of season 4 episodes suck, except for 3 of them that found worth watching, and are not getting that much
better. It’s like every episode is thrown together with hardly no creativity
involve, for example Dunces and Dragons. Now, that could have been WAY better and funnier! Also, it seems like every episode of season 4 is no longer being targeted toward kids & adults, but ONLY to little children.
What happened to the adult humor? What happened to the episodes that would make
me fall to floor laughing? The only reason why I choose to still watch the
show is because I love Spongebob.

The 5 things that make season 4 almost
    unbearable to watch:

    1. The episodes themselves! (some lack humor, good storyline, & creativity)

    2. The episode running time (everything’s too fast! SLOW IT DOWN!!)

    3. Spongebob’s voice (they even killed his laughter in season 4)

    4. TRYING to make Patrick funny (in old episodes Patrick use to have me on the
    floor laughing)

    5. Too much of Mr. Krabs (so far he’s been in almost every episode!)

It doesn't! And Patrick IS funny! Mr. Krabs is a funny character, so he deserves to be in almost every episode! The only things wrong with it are SOME of the storylines. The other thing that sucks is that they're forgetting characters like Larry the Lobster and Scooter!

I totally agree. Like in the episode "Mrs. Puff, you're fired!" the episode didn't even have NOTHING
to do with Mrs. Puff. Thus, making the title useless. Heck, they didn't even show her character until the end! If it was up to me, I would totally rewrite this epsiode and have it center around her like it should have been.

I made of list of Spongebob characters that season 4 don't seem to want to show a lot of (or haven't
    shown at all yet).

    1. Gary
    2. Sandy
    3. Mrs. Puff
    5. Larry
    6. Scotter
    7. Plankton
    8. Patchy the Pirate (in his own home)
    9. Potty the parrot
    10. Pearl
    11. Spongebob's Parents

Taking Gary for example, how many episdoes will it take before they finally show them?

The cause of all this is that Stephen Hillenburg was fired from working on the show for having SpongeBob and Patrick being gay(which I TOTALLY disagree with). Only the writers are in charge now, and they forget minor characters(which do help the show in some way because they make sense to be part of the storylines) and some main characters don't appear as much as before. Sandy hasn't been appearing much lately, due to her minority appearence in season 3(which was an improvement). The episodes have to be fast-paced to fit into the limit of 21 minutes. Blame Nickelodeon for that because every show is now fast-paced on that network! Season 4 may be just as good(or a little worse) than season 1, but it is still good. I just wished that Nick didn't fire Hillenburg, the "mastermind" behind the show.

I watched some season four episodes on TurboNick, and it showed that Stephen Hillenburg was still executive producer.

Come now, Season 4 isn't that bad. Mr. Krabbs is a liitle overused i guess, Gary & Larry and Mrs. Puff are in few episodes, but they aren't forgotten, cuz i saw Larry in 3 eps this season. Pearl's been in like 7, i don't think she's a minor cheratar anymore. SpongeBob's voice has changed, but it was low in Help Wanted, and it's gotten higher the whole show, maybe it's hard for Tom Kenny to keep doing it the same way all these years, i don't blame him.

Season 4 isn't that bad, i don't like good negihbor or karate island that much though, Meramd man and barnicle boy 6 isn't so bad, and where's gary either.

Stephen Hillenburg wasn't fired, he really just gave the position to Derek Drymon.

FINALLY I meet some people who understand what's happening to poor SpongeBob! His voice has changed, and the show has gone from witty and hilarious to slapstick-like, stupid humor. SpongeBob has kind of lost his personality (his emotions were never that obvious before). Now he cries or laughs at ANYTHING, which is OOC. Dunces and Dragons was OK, but there were some OOC quotes and actions I noticed:

-Patrick saying, "I'm not sure there's anything I can add at this point" was totally out of his character. It makes me wonder whether they were too lazy to try and think of a witty Patrick-like comment to put there, or if they're trying to change Patrick. Either one wouldn't be a good sign.

-Okay, I'm not going to try and be nice here, I'm just going to tell it like it is: Giving the jellyfish dragon a Krabby Patty to make it stop attacking them was a very pitiful excuse for an ending. What happened to good endings? Personally, I thought it would have been better if they had kept it in the jellyfish net (that way, it would have ended in character for SpongeBob and Patrick, cause they love jellyfishing, and giving them the jellyfish net as a weapon earlier would have fit in better).

Now, it wasn't THAT bad. Some of the quotes were perfect, like the "How's that mutton, Patrick?" "Me thinks it's Mutton-tastic!" diologue. The other episodes were pretty bad, though.

Like Funny Pants! That one was OOC for SpongeBob, and again, way overboard with his emotions. SpongeBob doesn't laugh about EVERYTHING! They just wanted to overdo that because that was the entire point of the eppi. Honestly, it was too OOC to do a plotline like that, so why did they do it? Because they were out of ideas. I could really tell they were out of ideas when I first saw the commercial for All That Glitters. That commercial just ANNOUNCED that it was going to be a bad one. They could only think of ONE line to say that rhymed (Situation serious, this is no joke, what's a sponge gonna do when his spatula's broke?). And honestly, making an entire episode around the fact that he breaks his spatula? That's pathetic! Besides, if he can't get a replacement spatula because he misses his old one so much, why does he want those new spatulas so much in Working Pearl? Ugh...

Come on, Nick, you can do better than this! Come up with some better episodes or BRING STEPHEN BACK!
