You guys are allowed to be nostalgic about the older seasons, but this is a SpongeBob forum so you should expect people to get defensive about the newer seasons. Plenty of people on this forum are fans of all SpongeBob seasons so of course they are going to stick up for the newer seasons. Seasons 4-7 have had plenty of good episodes too, so its not like the show is absolutely terrible now. Sure Seasons 1-3 are better, but SpongeBob is still a good show. Bottom line, you are allowed to be opinionated but you shouldn't act surprised that people are going to disagree on a SPONGEBOB forum.

I agree, you can't make statements about despising the later episodes of Spongebob on a Spongebob forum, and not expect any controversy.
