Well since they used him so much they wanted to make him do something stupid. The new writers must think that stupid=funny, but that's not the case at all. |

I hope you are referring to newer season Patrick only because if you are referring to Patrick in general, you just got me angry!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I'm sorry I offended you, but FYI I am refering to the newer season Patrick. In the older seasons, he's funny and not a gross jerk. |

I wouldn't say the show was really stupid in the first three seasons. It always had a level of intelligence, and was fond of using witty and clever humor. But ever since season five, they down graded it with potty humor and stuff like that. Knowing myself, I am actually surprised that I find the new episodes funny.

Not so true, pokesponge123, I find at least some adult humor in nearly every episode. Even season 4-6 eppies.
Anyways, here's what I think:
Patrick have always being stupid, someone said something about he not knowing how to turn off an alarm clock, but won't you remember him not knowing how to open a JAR, a jar, that's far simplier than opening a can. But still, I voted Patrick because sometimes it feels like he's just a pink idiot blob, unlike the usually funny stupid starfish he sometimes can be.
Mr. Krabs: Many of you said something about him being extremely cheap and a bully. Don't you remember that he unburied some guy just for a HAT, if that isn't being cheap and a bully, then what? He also made SpongeBob and Squidward work at the KK for 24 hours on The Graveyad Shift and he didn' stay with them like on Fear of a Krabby Patty.
The point is that even on season 1-3 all the characters had the deffinitions you accuse them on having now. You're just blindfolded on thinking that everything that's new on SpongeBob is stupid.

Let's not forget what the new wirters ae doing to SpongeBob, they keep degrating him and have him act like such an annoying little two-year-old. He REALLY seemed toddlerish and babyish and irriitating in Boating buddies, it was so bad in that episode that it almost seemed inhumane and not human-like at all. The wirters are getting way too overboard with childish and potty jokes. What does Nick think we are all whiny little babies who like to pick our noses? That I can say is 1,000% FALSE!!!!!! I'm getting really sick and tired of this rubbish TV is giving us, they need to realize that we are smart enough to send angry mobs over to their studios for never caring about what the fans want. And also ADULTS watch SpongeBob too and sometimes I don't think they like how whiny and babyish SpongeBob has become by these sicko new writers.
Also let me provide some reasons to how Mr. Krabs was better in te older seasons.
1. He may have left his workers in Graveyard Shift but at last he didn't say that they coud not sleep, unlike in FoaKP which I thought was worse treatment for the employess and was also sick and inhumane.
2. He never over-obsessed over a penny, and like Squid's Day Off a dime is actually worth more than a penny.
3. He almost tore a man's arm off for a penny in Born Again Krabs, but at least he was generous and not cheap most of the time in the episode, and he wanted SpongeBob back after he cried about making a terrible mistake for choosing 62 cents.
4. He never counterfeited unlike in The Krabby Kronicle and never abused SpongeBob so terribly by embarrassing and insulting his friends by writing false newspapers.
5. He also wasn't as mean towards Plankton and never tried to go after him so harshly like in Plankton's Regular and did not rub a krabby paty in his face. (Like he did in Krabs VS. Plankton.)
I think I made some good points of how a least there was some ways Mr. Krabs was better in seasons 1-3 for SpongeBob!
Back to the degrating of SpongeBob, he was also a little mean and childish in Waiting, and he also never could make a perfect patty no matter how hard he tried in The Original Frycook! In the older seasons there was no Original Frycook and SpongeBob was the best frycook! He should be given more credit for his work so The Original Frycook was too hard on Spongebob and also was kinda out of character.

Thank you on the Mr. Krabs part.
