No way. I love TSLoD, but since SpongeBob is my favourite show, I'm 95% sure I wouldn't like the spin-off if there was one. I predict it'll still be going strong in 2012. |

Well, The Simpsons isn't half as popular as SpongeBob, and that's on season 20 now. So, I think you could easily see SpongeBob going 20+ seasons. |

Am I the only one who finds The Suite Life on Deck COMPLETELY UNESSICARY. Why couldn't they of just stayed in the hotel? That's where they had all the memories, why start all over again? |
you're not the only one. i don't really like TSLoD

The probabilities of that is pretty much 0. First of all, in no way SpongeBob is more popular than The Simpsons, and second, I don't think SpongeBob's overall plot is strong enough to go on for more than, say, 15 seasons or so. |
agreed. i'd like to see Spongebob last as long as The Simpsons, but I don't think that's going to happen

Since "The Great Escape!" is said to be a lot like Seinfeld's finale, I'm getting a little worried that it could be the end. But I think it should try to beat Rugrats' record, and maybe even The Simpsons' record! |

Well, the only reason why The Simpsons will probably end up having a longer run is because the creators have more freedom with it, while the SpongeBob SquarePants producers have more barriers, since it's a kids show. However in terms of popularity, they are closely matched.

Indeed. They can't use obvious adult themed stories.

if they go to like season 20 they will run out of ideas and have to use ideas from other show and definitly rip other old episodes off a couple of times, so i think it will go until, maybe, season 12 or something! |
i agree
