Well i said in my review that rest in peace SpongeBob, what I meant was the original Spongebob back in his glory days of 1999-2004. So what I'm trying to say is that I will always like the square dude because he became so famous and was great in the earlier seasons, but to me (from 2005-present) he's changed along witht he rest of the characters, that's how much destruction to the show these writers have caused. So like another thing I said in my review is that it is unfortunate to what the writers have done to him because seasons 1-3 SpongeBob was so funny and cool along with he rest of the characters, and to me that was the true SpongeBob. But now look it, I just can't bear to watch some of the episodes on this show now anymore. The writers went WAY too overboard with some things, and one of these includes the changes to the characters(known as out of character.) Also his voice has gotten squeakier, what's up with that? Some people (like me) can also find that annoying. |

I think everyone can agree with this thread. Spongebob has gone WAY downhill. |
If you want SpongeBob to change, Spongy4Evah freind's dad writes a few of the shows, maybe he can do something about it if you ask him too.

Really. It's like he's decreased in age by five years or something instead of the other way around...weird.

Yeah, he's Mike Bell, also known as the only writer that wrote one episode just by himself (Good Neighbors) which is definitely one of the worst episodes ever, he took "Spongebob and Patrick annoy Squidward" to a whole new level, the Squidward-almost-has-a-heart-attack level, not cool. |

lol, well I do love every episode even the ones in my "worst 10" list, I'd watch SpongeBob 24/7 wouldn't mind at all, but what I am saying is that in Good Neighbors Spongebob and Pat were beyond annoying towards poor little Squidward, I felt really sorry for him.

You actually like that kind of stuff? Wow...
Well I respect your opinion and I guess some people have to like it.
But seriously, why would anyone like and laugh at the nailing of Squidward in episodes such as Good Neighbors and Boating Buddies? I found them WAY too harsh and cruel.
It is nice to see a little bashing of characters here and there, (good episode examples would be SB and Patrick at the end of A Life in a Day and SB, Squidward and Mr. Krabs in the end of Krusty Towers.) Krusty Towers was good because Mr. Krabs was kind of pushing Squidward around but at least soon afterwards he turns the table, and characters ending up in the hospital I find funny because thye get injured in the funny good kind of way, and at least they seem well because they're talking and stuff. But there's such a thing as taking it too far, and that was the case in Good Neighbors and Boating Buddies.
Same goes for going overboard with the gross humor exactly how I said it with going overboard by bashing certain characters. And I can think of two episode examples for those: Fungus Among US and The Splinter.
I'm sure to many Squidward fans watching Squidward go through that in Good Neighbors and Boating Buddies was like watching Steve Irwin getting poked in the chest by that Stingray.

No there's me! I don't care about all of the changes they did on FOP and SB! There still funny, and that's why I liked them in the first place!
