    I don't think the show would have been good if they showed SpongeBob running his own restaurant, he wouldn't be fry-cooking and annoying Squidward like he usually does.

    I think the Spongebob movie was intended to end the entire Spongebob series, but the fans wanted more episodes so they decided to keep it running.

    Or they used the movie to do stuff that doesn't normally happen in the series, so the ending wouldn't affect it.

    Theories:
    - It was a limited time offer
    - It only exists for the first half of every month
    - It burned down the day after Mr. Krabs insured it
    - It only exists if you believe it does
    - It got torn down and replaced by the Eugene Krabs Memorial Parking Lot (seeing as how he was gonna die in the movie)
