I think he's alright. Everyone seems to like him the best just because he's the funniest. But the dumb characters are always the most overrated and overused in every series (cosmo, sheen and carl, homer simpson), everyone I know think he's better than Spongebob but I dont think so. Theres moments when hes annoying like when he mistaken Spongebob for spiders and hit him with his rock.

I agree. Pat may be dumb, but that's what makes him a good comic-relief character. For any SB fan Pat=laughs.

Patrick's the #1 character on SpongeBob SquarePants! Without him, the show would fall! He's so dumb and funny(though I don't think he's the dumbest character, possibly, it could be Mermaid Man) I don't find ANYTHING annoying about him, and the part he mistaked SpongeBob for rocks was HILARIOUS!!! I think Patrick's my favorite tv character, and without him, I wouldn't watch television(or SpongeBob, for that matter).

Here are the characters that I think are the best:

Mr. Krabs
Plankton
Squidward

GOOD:

Larry(Yes, the cool lobster and lifeguard!)

Patrick is the only reason I watch the show. He's my sister’s favorite character on the show as well, and my mother even loves him. So I guess he is the most popular character on the show, but you can't blame people for liking the guy, he makes people laugh. I wouldn't watch the show if he wasn't on it. No offense people, he's just the one that makes the laughter. And that's not true about how all the fat characters/comedy characters are normally the favorites, on Danny Phantom Tucker is the comic relief yet he's not the favorite on the show. Jack Fenton is the fact guy of the show yet some people here and there like him. Danny seems to be the favorite of Danny Phantom which I find interesting. Any who back on topic I loved the guy in that Hotel episode that just aired, he made me crack up so much. What's with Mr. Crabs telling Patrick to go to Medical school? He doesn't even work for him LOL. Any who just had to say that even though I hardly come to these forums, bye!

patrick is my fav character hes funny and stupid at the same time and the way he act. i took this poll and it said that i act just like him and i kinda do but im smarter than him of course.

Well, the fact that he's the funniest and that they never stop talking about him. He's got a lot of votes at Sponge-buddy.com and even in a german fansite more people like him than SB or Squidward/Thaddeus

I agree as well, Patrick's a very likeable character and he deserves fans, but I think everyone on Spongebob are great as well. I dont get how people can even like the show without Spongebob or the others either. Patrick isn't the only one to make it good

Honestly, I think the show would be worse if it didn't have Squidward rather than not having Patrick.

I agree, Squidward is a good character. I'm surprised that in that one poll at the site Spongebob and Squidward are 2nd or 3rd favorite to Patrick.

That's no surprise because Patrick is everbody in my families favorite character. (Except me and my mom)

Yeah I like Spongebob too, but I cant decide anymore who i like better.

It is pretty hard and SpongeBob and Patrick are so great together, but there's just something about SpongeBob kinda hard to describe.

Maybe its the square trousers? or the odd personality..

As great and funny Patrick is, he's over rated. Oh well, he's still my favorite AFTER SpongeBob. Alot of people say that Patrick is the funniest, I disagree. I have laughed at SpongeBob more than Patrick.

Scooter is the fish who says "Dude!" a lot and has a very funny laugh. He also likes surfing. I also think Patrick's the funniest character on the show, too! I disagree with him being overrated, and he is my top favorite character in the show and television! He's also very lovable and sometimes cool!
