What Do You Think is the Most Pointless Storyline in Each Season? (New Question)

    I have heard people talking about there mostly being pointless storylines in Season 4 and I disagree with that. So I want to know what people think is the most pointless storyline in an episode for each season. These are mine:

    Season 1

    1. The Paper - I didn't really think it was such a ground-breaking episode.

    Season 2

    1. Patty Hype - Even though some episodes about the Krabby Patty weren't that good, this one didn't show any importance to the Krabby Patty.

    Season 3

    1. Clams - It had some really good jokes, but the storyline could have been better.

    Season 4

    1. Good Neighbors - It was basically another Squidward being annoyed episode without a twist. Most Squidward being annoyed episodes have a twist like in Squidtastic Voyage where they annoy Squidward which causes him to swallow his reed.

    Season 1

    Reef Blower- Not much happens in this episode, and no one spoke in this episode.
    Season 2

    Bossy Boots- It's just a boring Pearl episode with not much humor.

    Season 3

    None!

    Season 4

    Fear of a Krabby Patty- This episode has the 3rd(behind Bubblestand and Reef Blower) most pointless plot in the entire series!

    You see, I have to disagree. When we are talkign about good developed plots, then season one wins hands down. the 2nd and 3rd season were very funny and all, but the first season came up with better plots and storires rather than just humor.

    Here are mine:

    Season 1: Neptune's Spatula: This episode was not entertaining at all.

    Season 2: Squirrel Jokes: SpongeBob's jokes were not funny at all. Who cares?

    Season 3: Club SpongeBob: Not funny at all. I felt sorry for Squidward.

    Season 4: Dunces and Dragons: Too childish. I really could've expected better from a 30-minute episode.

    Here are mine:

    Season One
    SB-129: Squidward just goes through a bunch of time periods, and then ends up coming back.

    Season Two
    Squid's Day Off: After all that happens, they discover that the Krusty Krab was closed. So all that happened for nothing.

    Season Three
    The Krusty Krab Training Video: This episode tells what we have known since the beginning.

    Season Four
    (Get's out huge list)
    Well... from this huge list of pointless storylines in season four, it looks like "Good Neighobors" is the most pointless storyline.

    New Question:

    I think that Season 2 had the most pointless storylines. They didn't really have anything very important to have an episode based on.

    Examples:

    • Patty Hype - Colored Krabby Patties took up about 11 minutes. Wow.
    • Procrastination - SpongeBob couldn't write his essay and he keeps on straying away from the subject.
    • Grandma's Kisses - An entire episode about SpongeBob trying to act more grownup.

    Each of these episodes had great jokes, just bad storylines.

    Season 1
    Reef Blowers- not much of a episode.
    Season 2
    Procrastination- the same reasons as minerva73 said

    Season 3
    Spongebob B.C.- Just reliving Spongebob's ancestors again. Nothing special. The song was pretty funny though.

    Season 4
    Good Neighbors- What all of you said. The only purpose of this episode was to show that having Spongebob and Patrick as neighbors is a lousy idea.
    All that Glitters- All Spongebob did was CRY in this episode over a spatula.

    Season 5
    Waiting- All Spongebob did was wait for a toy and yell at his friends for that reason.

    Most pointless- Season 4. Not being biased either. The episodes had episodes that were already done in earlier seasons.

    Season 1:Neptune's Spatula,It was not funny at all.

    Season 2:Bubble Buddy,It was an annoying episode

    Season 3:Club Spongebob.I felt so sorry for Squidward. Spongebob and Patrick were selfish and greedy and mean.They did not let Squidward have anything to eat.It seems that Spongebob and Patrick don't care for Squidward,only themselves and the stupid conach shell.I wish Patrick didn't appear in that episode,he was selfish and mean and greddy.Spongebob should not have appear also because he was selfish,mean and greedy.

    Season 4:Good Neighbors:It wasn't funny.

    They tried to help Squidward. Remember when he couldn't decide what to eat, they recommended to ask the shell? That wasn't a pointless story, and it was one of the best episodes in my opinion.

    Response to SpongeSebastian: I agree about season two. It had some of the coolest storylines, and creative ones. Season three had wonderful stories as well, but season two was the start of its success .

    Yeah. In my opinion, they are better than most Season 4 episodes. They have good plots and the jokes are funny. I think that the best episode so far is probably The Original Fry Cook.

    I just wanted to say I'm sorry about the "Club SpongeBob" comment. I think that it is a very good episode, and Sponge N' Pat were trying to help Squidward. Don't report me or anything, I was just confused, OK?
