Were there any episodes that you thought were "rip-offs"?

By rip-offs, I mean different episodes from the show or episodes from other shows. So which episodes did you think were rip-offs? I have two:

Krabby Road: Rip-off of "Bucket Sweet Bucket"

Boating Buddies: Rip-off of The Suite Life's "Forever Plaid" and Phil of the Future's "Tanner"

So now, what episodes did you think were rip-offs?

I think alot of the fourth season episodes were rip offs. Not only of other TV shows but classic movies and stories. Sure, its fine to "rip off" of other storylines as LONG as they put a tad of humor and a twist on it. Which in recent episodes I think they've failed to do.

Grooming Gary sounds like The Great Snail Race. But it won't be as good as TGSR, I can tell already.

That's exactly what I mean, cause I had no problem with Hocus Pocus when they spoofed the Wizard of Oz (it was funny), but I did with the episodes I posted above.

Wait, Boating Buddies is a rip-off of Forever Plaid? I love that TSL episode, but I think Boating Buddies sounds bad.

I liked Forever Plaid too, I just thought it was a terrible rip-off of it that wasn't funny at all. Also, Boating Buddies is bad. Since I know the episodes you like and the episodes you hate, I know by your class that you'll hate Boating Buddies for sure.

Well, I thought Boating Boaties was more like a rip-off of New Student Starfish.

Fear of a Krabby Patty was a rip-off of The Graveyard Shift because Mr. Krabs opens The Krusty Krab for 24 hours in both episodes.

    Oh yea!!
a LOT of episodes reminded me of other shows,
    just a few examples:

Patrick's nose epi- the epi in RML where bev gets a new nose

the bully- wimp on the barby

mr.krabs's midlife crisis- mr.bighead's mid life crisis

i think spongebob copied a lot of ideas from RML....there're some more, but i don't know them all by heart, so....yea, these're the ones i remember

Well, some of the writers have worked on RML before, but I'm pretty sure no RML writers worked on No Nose Knows.

Both episodes involve Sandy having to leave Bikini Bottom and Sponge and Patrick have to make things right for her to stay. Both of them even have musical numbers, and both of them make Sponge and Pat cry.

Chimps Ahoy almost had a musical number, I wonder how it would go?

Then I would stop watching the show. I mean, c'mon. How bad are these writers?

Picture Day was sort of a rip-off of Missing Identity, where he kept doing the same routine everytime he got dirty, and in MI, when Patrick said the wrong thing.
