Fellow users on the SpongeBob SquarePants TV.com forum, we need to have a little talk.

This place is dead. Dead as a doorknob. It's not insane-posts from 2007 on First Page dead, but it's shameful how far this forum's gone downhill. From 2005-2008, this place rocked. Rocked beyond belief. Some people say "oh the reason this place isn't as good now is because of the mods and redesigns". Well NO. They certainly didn't help, and are the reasons a few users aren't here anymore, but y'know what the hands down, number one reason is for this place pretty much sucking the big one now? Us users.

We guys aren't friends. Seriously, that's a big reason why the this place used to rock, we were all good pals.We GET ALONG nowadays, but we're never actually really having together. We have no running jokes or stuff that only us closely-nit users can understand.

So how does this change? First, we start really becoming good friends. Then, we start some in-jokes around the forums a lot, in fact humor in general is hands down the best possible thing to get this forum. Don't think you're funny? You don't have to be! Any little jokes and stuff lighten up the forums, even if they're extremely lame. In fact that's part of the charm of the good old days, the horribly lame humor!

Also maybe we could start up a really fun game or two. People act like zero games are allowed, but that's untrue, we ARE allowed to have four. A really fun game could really jump start the forum, along with maybe a contest or so every month, like some Spin-off competitions we used to have.

There's one last thing. And this is most important. We could do every single other thing listed if this one doesn't work. To put it extremely bluntly: DON'T BE A NOOB. What is a noob? A noob is someone who honestly brings nothing to the forum, they're ultra lame, never getinto any in-jokes or even try to be funny, and DON'T USE GOOD GRAMMAR. Seriously, if you use poor grammar YOU WILL NEVER BECOME A RESPECTED MEMBER OF THIS FORUM. So I beg with all my heart and all my soul, please everyone, USE GOOD GRAMMAR. Even if it just means actually capitalizing, that's good. You have that Caps Lock key for a reason.

So guys, come on, let's pull together. This is sorta like the User Commitee, except we don't just vote for a president and then do nothing. In fact, there's no presidents or even signing up for this, because it's not a group or anything. But please guys, please please please, could we all try to follow these guidelines? Also please suggest new things, if they seem beneficial we'll do them. So come on guys, let's get this forum back.

P.S. Mods please don't delete this. Maybe it's not technically a SpongeBob disscussion but it's about the SpongeBob forums and that's enough IMO. Plus it's all to help YOUR site gain activity and become better.

Yeah I have noticed, and that is great, honestly you're probably the most helpful and respectable user we have on the forums right now, but I'm not really sure if a couple great members like JellyFishJamer or DC_Dude are still active.

Give up? Give up? The day may come when we'll give up on fruitless active after a mere 6 years, but that day is not today! The day may come when our favorite board may be lost from our memories and his enduring love of mushrooms forgotten, but that day is not today! Today we proud! We will proud for him in the show, we will be happy for him in the series, we will proud for him working in Krusty Krab and the boating school and the cul-de-sacs of this fair land. We will enjoy for him in the multilevel car parks and municipal recreation facilities. And we few. We happy few. We small band of friends - and us fans from tv.com. We shall not cease 'til the forum is active once again!

That is why we have the community. people need to get outta here and go to SBC. It's like America breaking away from Britain. In Britain it was strict and cruel, at Spongebob Community, it's fun and easy.

Why complain about this site and say, "Oh it's so dead." "I'm trying to keep it alive." "I wish everyone hadn't left" and blah blibbity blah bitty blah.

Let's actually do something! Migrate to Spongebob Community. 62 people have already done so. So instead of trying to bring this sunk ship of a site back to the surface, lets go to a better, growing ship. I've been waiting for a committee of people to start deciding what to do about this dull site and finally we have it.

Amen to that, SeaSpongez. All that's happened in the past several months is people arguing with one another and not making use of this great community we have here. If only someone could say the same thing to SpongeBuddy Mania.

The thing about the SpongeBob Community is that, well, it's just a Proboard. There's no contributing, editorships, reviews, blogs, levels, emblems, or many of the other things that makes TV.com just so great. Plus you can truly talk about other shows here (there you can too but it's just a one topic per show thing, you can't have varied discussions). That is why I wish THIS site would become popular again.

Also the Mods aren't that bad! You act like they're Nazis or something but they're not, look at SpongeSebastian, he's managed to stay here almost 5 years from not getting in fights with people. Just don't get in arguments with people and you'll be fine, that's where all my TOSs have came from and so I've stopped.
Come on guys let's start this, anyone have any ideas?

Actually, SBC does have blogs. It does have levels. And we could add those things if we wanted to. Plus, with SBC, it's still growing. It's user run. We do what we want. Here, it's just we use the website and post and try to become an editor.

Also, you can't compare SBC and tv.com. SBC is a spongebob site and what was the most popular board? Spongebob.

The people that left tv.com...why would they come back? If they left, they occasionally drop by. But why would they come back? Some do, but it's rare.

You could have reviews and blogs and contributing and editorships? I genuinely want to know, please respond.

Emblems are being added. Reviews are all over the site and can be found on the show's topic. Levels are members, ambassadors, mods, and admins as well as the levels which are being added. And Editorships will be added soon.

So, as you can see, we have or will have everything that makes TV.com special, just in a different way. So, in conclusion, SBC is the way to go. I'll explain it more if you would like, tvfan.

As much as i love the community, tvfan is right.

Plus tvguy, those aren't really levels. They are rather ranks and there is only 3 of them. Tv.com, however, has like over 100 levels. And there really isn't a way to level up because only 3 mods are chosen and there are only 2 admins. The rest are just normal users.

And tvguy,i know you love the community and we all do, but some people want to help keep TV.com active. But of course, that is your opinion. Just saying.

Anyways, back on topic. Does anyone think we should start another hangman game (Since the last one died out)?
