I kind of agree with you on Squidward being abused too much. I mainly think its because of his karma. Then again there's been times when he's been abused for no reason.

Yeah usually Squidward deserves it but now he gets abused for no reason at all.

No offense, Nathan, but this topic is way old. Nobody complained about Squidward abuse on The Camping Episode but they do now? bull....

well whilst i agree Squidward's abuse is overdone, it's a tv show, and you don't hear people saying frank spencer is too unlucky or homer simpson is too stupid...

karma? seems a tad superstitious i must say... and Squidward doesn't deserve any abuse, nobody does, that would be being a tad primitive. however as this is a cartoon abuse is part of the humour, like when wile e coyote's plans go unworthy or when bart gets detention... it's humour that amuses adults because adults are pro science... i guess if you're a tennis player you'll be proud of tennis rackets what

I don't get why everybody thinks Squidward is getting abused. He's Squidward! He's been getting "abused" since the show began, and nobody complained about it till now.
Would everybody like Squidward better if he was a successful billionare with his own clarinet factory and was BFFs with SpongeBob and Patrick?

I also think that users here make too much of a big deal about the Squidward abuse. It's not just the new episodes, I mean, probably the worst Squid abuse was in the season 3 episode "Squilliam Returns". I don't find it to be as frustrating as the way the children treat the Trix Rabbit. Probably the only time it's ever repulsed me was at the end of "Cephalopod Lodge".

And I found that actually funny

But the only time it has actually annoyed me was on Good Neighbors, just to see his reaction was heartbreaking

Yeah.

The Squiddy "abuse" in the older seasons wasn't really "abuse." It was funny. But now, the writers are taking it too far. Becasue Squidward is a grumpy character, maybe they think it's okay for him to have bad luck all the time.

which is unfair since it's not like he exactly chooses to be like that... since he is actually normal until somebody annoys him yeah i'd agree it was alright at first but... after a while it gets a bit much imo
