Like the topic says, Spongebob used to be funny, but it's changed.

    In what ways you ask?

    - In the old episodes Squidward used to be boring and always annoyed, but now he's yelling and screaming his head off at Spongebob and Patrick. You can even see the veins on his head.

    - In the old episodes reactions to words and actions used to be the speed of reactions in real life, but now when someone in Spongebob responds to a word or action it's immediate and not even a second of silence is held before a reaction. Everything is just to quick and fast that it doesn't even flow.

    - The last thing is that these new episodes have weird things happening in them. For instance, Mr. Krabs playing jumprope with his eyes, Squidward yelling his head off, Spongebob's spatula being alive, which never was present in any other episode, gross scenes with teh Flying Dutchman, time travel into Medieval times, and many other weird things. The first episode that was a little bit strange was all the way back in 2003, the one where Mr. Krabs takes Spongebob and Squidward clam fishing and there's a video clip in black and white of an orchestra, and Mr. Krabs rubs his millionth dollar on his "Netherlands" if you know what I mean.

    Does anyone agree?

Yes, I agree. And also, SpongeBob doesn't use the catchphrase "I'm ready" anymore.

The new episodes are okay. I don't like the weird stuff either. And when they changed Mama Krabs' voice to some weird Irish accent I was disturbed. Mainly because it was annoying to listen to her when I knew it was the wrong voice. Sorry I'm just easily annoyed when T.V. shows change voices dramatically.

I didn't think anyone else ever noticed that. And yes, I do agree. Supposedly, the new producer used to be an animation dircector, and he's not fit to take that big of a job.

Also, Patrick is too stupid in these episodes. It's funny to make him sound like he's being smart, like in "Shanghied" and the one with Patrick's secret box. They do that occasionally in seasons 2 and 3 in a way that is funny. And no, he didn't do that in "Patrick SmartPants." In that episode, Patrick was given an unbearably awful voice, and was being smart too much. This also shows another "wierd thing," when the Brain Coral gets "plugged" into Patrick's head and has gears moving. That was just stupid. I want Stephen back!!!

I also thought that Patrick SmartPants was a bit too far-fetched. Brain coral? Come on!

I don't see an electrical plug or the ability to go on someone's head and make them smart...

But, ya know, nautical nonsense... I just thought that was a little too much nonsense.

The season's not over yet and MM+BB only get 1 or 2 episodes a season.
