Yes as we all know Spongebob didn't literally copy drake and josh, it started years before Drake and Josh did. Though sometimes the episodes were really made by drake and josh first. I mean, in the drake and josh episode "Foam Finger", Drake and Josh have flashbacks over an arguement about a foam finger from when they were 8 years old. That episode aired October 8, 2005. But then in "Friend or Foe", Mr. Krabs and Plankton start arguing over what happened on how they became enemies, with Planktons story the exact opposite of Mr. Krabs' story. That episode aired April 13, 2007. And in the Drake and Josh episode "The Demonator", Drake and Josh want to go on a new roller coaster thats very intense. Same goes with "Roller Cowards", except that Spongebob and Patrick are pretty scared. Demonator aired February 25, 2006, and Roller Cowards aired July 27, 2007.

^That happens on a lot of TV shows. So many ideas have done multiple times that you can usually name at least two other shows that made an episode like another one just did. I've seen episodes like the ones you mentioned on other TV shows, it's just a matter of which shows can make them more entertaining.

These are common plots that can happen on TV shows, and were used LONG before Drake and Josh.

What's with people suddenly thinking that this show copies so many others?

Dude, "Drake and Josh" wasn't the first show to do an episode involving different character's views on a past situation. Many shows including "The Fairly OddParents", "Clifford the Big Red Dog", and "Ed Edd 'n' Eddy" have done episodes that involve that exact same concept, way before D&J came about.

Same with the rollercoaster idea, these are just generic episode ideas to which many different TV shows have contributed their own twist to. For example, I've seen the concept of the SBSP episode "Overbooked" being done many times by other TV shows. It's not really copying when many shows have done it and the writers can add their own spin to it. They're just classic storylines.

And what makes it better is that each show adds its own charm to it.

Why do so many people overeact to alleged "rip- offs" of plots in TV and movies? I remember after "Twilight" came out, fans went all Vampire and anything else involving either them or werewolves was considered a copy of the series. Just look at the four part "Wizards vs. Vampires" saga on WOWP. There was a lot of commentary on youtube about it being a crack at Twilight. (I even said myself to my mom that this was a "Twilight rip-off" as a joke) Same thing with the Vampire Diaries. People use these sort of plot elements all the time, so it's not really stealing.

TOO TRUE. None of my female friends even watched Wizards Vs. Vampires because of Twilight. As great as the Twilight BOOKS are...Stephenie Meyer (or whatever her name is) didn't create vampires. Just saying..
