This is the complete opposite of the top 10 overrated episodes. you just simply make a list of episodes that you feel are not truly as appreciated as much and give a reason. i'll start
10. Krabby Road
Well of course I have to put it on here. Its my spinoff's main idea. Sure it was stupid that the writers thought that everyone was stupid enough to almost fall for Plankton's plan, but it had a good plot idea and it was good.
9. Mermaidman and Barnacleboy 3
TV.com may say that 5 was the best, but I thought that 3 actually was. How could you not love the giggle belt, Patrick's wallets, and the orb of confusion. Most of all, Manray was amazing. Clearly, the best episode ever contest agreed with me and thats why it is not higher.
8. Squid Wood
I'll admit it. The little puppet was cute. Sure Squidward's life was tortured by the puppet, but I liked the episode. One thing that bugged me though was the stupid dancing.
7. Sun Bleached
I actually liked this episode a lot. Its 8.2 rating of approval is keeping this one from being higher on the list, but this should have a 9 if The Krabby Kronicle can get one.
6. Squidville
Another episode I liked a lot. It showed a side of Squidward that I never expected. This was a lost gem of season 2 that more people should praise.
5. Walking Small
It was funny to see Spongebob's attempts at being assertive and Spongebob actually being assertive. I was entertained throughout the episode and I can't believe this was almost named the worst episode of season 1, the second time through.
4. Breath of Fresh Squidward
While it was mean to get Squidward electricuted twice, I actually liked this episode a lot compared to other season 5 episodes. The main reason that this is at #4 on my list is that it has a 7.4 rating on tv.com but something tells me that it is more to love a patty's fault than breath of fresh squidward
3. Pat No Pay
A 6.4? Really? This was the best short episode in my opinion. I loved watching Patrick screw up the Krusty Krab. While the new writers overdo Patrick's stupidity, this was one of the perfect stupid Patrick episodes
2. Party Pooper Pants
Besides Christmas Who, this is my favorite Spongebob special. I am surprised they don't show this on tv that much. This is a classic and it is extremely underrated. I am even watching it on my iPod as I type
1. Something Smells
Listen up new writers. If you must make Spongebob gross, this is how to do it correct. I liked this episode and it was very good. If Spongebob has to become gross and disgusting, then the new writers should watch Something Smells. The old writers perfected the gross, but entertaining concept with this episode. Hintity Hint Hint New Writers.

Hey! I was just thinking about making a thread like this! LOL.

10. Whale of a Birthday

Many people hate this episode because it's a Pearl episode, as well as it being paired with "Karate Island", but I just loved it. The ways SpongeBob hid to get Pearl all the presents was hilarious, and I'm glad there was a happy ending for everyone (except once again, Squidward). An underrated episode.

9. Squidville

As most people review "Grandma's Kisses", they accidentally forget about this episode and just give it a low rating. Which really upsets me because I just loved this episode very much, and it is a very cool episode that I just adored. Although I hated how Squidward's house was destroyed, I still love it. An underrated episode for sure, most likely a forgotten.

8. Plankton's Regular

Why do so many people hate this episode? Most say because of the end, but hey, that doesn't make be a great episode throughout! In fact, I loved it throughout, it really got me on the edge of my seat.

7. Fear of a Krabby Patty

Many people say that "Fear of a Krabby Patty" was when SpongeBob fell downhill. I do not believe that, in fact, FOAKP is actually a favorite of mine. You have to admit that the humor might have been childish, but the running gag of Plankton getting hit by the piano was hilarious. I absoutely praise this episode.

6. Suction Cup Symphony

Although the episode was a little childish, I still loved it, and it's very underrated by many. Squidward finally got his ultimate fame at the end, and although the part where Patrick made Squidward's head blow up was the only part I didn't like, I still loved this episode. An underrated episode for sure.

5. Grandma's Kisses

A lot of people hate this episode because of the childish plot, but I loved it. I always found it funny when SpongeBob complained about all the things he wanted back, and it was also funny how Squidward and the customers of the Krusty Krab kept making fun of him. A classic from the second season that is severly underrated.

4. Bossy Boots

A lot of people hate this episode because once again, it's a Pearl episode, but I just loved it. Although I didn't like how Pearl made the changes and how Squidward got a ticket, it was still a great episode. A very underrated episode.

3. Wigstruck

A lot of people hate this episode, but I just love it. It really showed season four to be a lot better, which just made it so great. An severly underrated episode.

2. Squeaky Boots

A lot of people hate this episode because of the annoying squeaky sounds produced, or yet again, a Pearl episode. I just loved it, all the things SpongeBob did with the boots were simply hilarious, and it was funny how Mr. Krabs reacted to hiding the boots near the end. A very hilarious and severly underrated episode.

1. Breath of Fresh Squidward

I just loved this episode. I liked Squidward being nice for a change, and how he got the Employee of the Month at the Krusty Krab for once. Although I hated how he never tore down the electric fence and how SpongeBob was out of character. It was still an awesome episode that is severly overrated by 75% of the site.

My brains not working, so here's a top 6.

6. Fungus Among Us
I understand it was gross, but it was such a good episode. Unfortunately, I get an itch just watching the episode (no joke)

5. Karate Island
It was good, but it wasn't the best episode ever. That's no reason to hate it.

4. Spy Buddies
Why do so many people hate this episode? It was really funny, and the ending makes me want to scream with laughter. I'm childish, I know. Even though it got bizarre and confusing at the end, that's why I loved it so much.

3. Rock-A-Bye Bivalve
It's obvious why so many people hate the episode, but it was such a good episode. Firstly, it's only a kids show anyway. The script was well written and had many funny lines, and I don't see why people hate it for that one reason.

2. Pat No Pay
So, it's short, and stupid. So what? Patrick was funny, and what else can I say?

1. Good Neighbor
It was just so funny, and I don't see what was so bad about it, apart from Squidward having a Sunday ruined. Seriously, Squids had worse done to him. This was just so funny!

ok i'm going to list episodes that have not been listed yet...here we go

10. Banned in Bikini Bottom

I understand why people hate this episode. The annoying song, the hideous Gristle Puss, etc., but I was able to discover a gem which was a great plot. It was an ok episode, but it doesn't deserve all the hate it gets.

9. Krabby Land

I think the reason why its rated so high on tv.com is because of The Camping Episode, but this episode is pretty good too. It would be higher on my list if it wasn't paired with The Camping Episode, but I think people should start noticing this episode more.

8. Slimy Dancing

Why don't they show this one on tv that much. I haven't seen this one in ages. It was a good episode that doesn't get much attention and I am disappointed in Nickelodeon for not showing this one more.

7. Stanley S Squarepants

Am I one of the only ones who doesn't mind Stanley. I know a lot of people hate him, but he is one of the better Squarepants. I mean Uncle Captain Blue was a retard and Blackjack was stupid. Stanley also had a good episode unlike Blackjack and people still hate Stanley. I just don't get it.

6. The Sponge Who Could Fly (The Lost Episode)

It is rare when there is a good episode combined with a good Patchy segment. Here is an example of one, but it has an 8.1 rating. That's not fair. This episode should be above 9. I mean who doesn't like Old Man Jenkins and a flying Spongebob.

5. Skill Crane

Sure the idea was a big what were they thinking, but I liked this one a lot. Sure it was easy to feel sorry for Squidward, but I just liked this episode too much.

4. Good Ol Whatshisname

This episode was paired with two great Spongebob episodes (Spy Buddies and Boat Smarts). However it does not get enough recognition. Sure Squidward gets treated unfairly again, but I thought it was funny. It is a great hidden gem of the bad season 5.

3. Sandy's Rocket

Squeaky Boots was also very underrated, but I said I am not going to list episodes already mentioned. I can't believe its only an 8.0. This was too good of an episode to be rated that low. I thought it was one of the best of season 1.

2. Gone

Yet again a rating that was too low. I liked every single minute of this episode. People may hate the ending when Spongebob discovered why everyone left him, but I ignored that and just laughed at watching Patrick getting left behind like Spongebob did

1. Picture Day

I don't get it. A 6.4? What's wrong with it? Why does everyone see this as a rip off of Missing Identity? I loved this one. Spongegloss I can't believe how cruelly this episode was reviewed. This is one of the most underrated episodes ever!!!!

10. Sandy's Rocket

This was a very classic episode, but many consider it to be the worst season 1 episode. In my opinion, this episode is way better than Squeaky Boots and Neptune's Spatula (which, BTW, is an extremely overrated episode).

9. Bossy Boots

This is one of the two lowest rated episodes of season 2. However, it wasn't too bad. Maybe people just don't like it so much because of Pearl.

8. To Love a Patty

This episode was good in a way. I know the idea of SpongeBob dating a Krabby Patty sounds ridiculous, but don't you see the writers were trying to prove a point with this episode?

7. The Lost Episode

Another one of the series' bests. This episode just doesn't get enough praise.

6. Karate Island

I kinda liked this episode. Sure, I definetely don't think it deserved to be the #1 episode during The Best Day Ever, but the episode wasn't horrible.

5. Gone

This episode was entertaining, in my opinion.

4. Krabby Road

This episode wasn't too bad. Sure, the fact that they didn't get a chance to perform any songs was a little disappointing, but it was a good idea for an episode.

3. Fungus Among Us

Most people say this episode is disgusting. However, I never found any part of this gross. This was a rather cute episode.

2. All That Glitters

I don't think I've ever known anyone who doesn't hate this episode. I think it is a very underrated episode. The episode was very touching.

1. SpongeBob's House Party

This is my most favorite episode of the series. However, I'm not satisfied with the rating it got on TV.com. If anything, it should at least be considered the best Patchy episode ever.

10. Pat No Pay

A very funny episode that makes good use of Patrick's stupidity. Arguably the best 3 minute episode.

9. Something Smells

This episode is just as good as most classic SpongeBob episode and deserves as good of a rating as them.

8. Krabby Road

This episode had a horrible plot, but a superb script! This episode was very funny and I fell it deserves a 9.0 or higher.

7. Waiting

I know what your thinking, WTF? But this episode is VERY good. The fact that quite a few people think it's bad is deploral.

6. SpongeBob B.C.

I love this episode! The Patchy scenes were hillarious and even the prehistoric scenes, despite their lack of voices, were great.

5. Shell of a Man

Most say this episode is even worst than Fear of a Krabby Patty (which wasn't very well-recieved) but was actually very funny.

4. Fear of a Krabby Patty

This is not when SpongeBob went downhill. Despite a plot that should be thrown in the seven circles of hell 10 million times, this episode was uncontrollably funny.

3. All That Glitters

No SpongeSebastian, your not the only one who doesn't hate this episode, I don't either. It is very funny and 10% better than it's partner episode Wishing You Well. Besides the pointless SpongeBob nudity, this episode's incredible.

2. Picture Day

Sorry for the delay, but I fainted when seeing this episode had a 6.4. This episode is insanely funny. I love it I love it I love it! This episode is so funny, I peed my pants! (sorry for that image) Anyway, the only reason this episode isn't number 1 is because I think people are starting to realise it's good.

1. Penny Foolish

Penny Foolish. Penny, Penny, Penny Foolish. After seeing the score for it, I thought it was gonna have extreme BO, but it didn't! It was great! This episode had so many funny parts! No gross-out humor, just good 'ol fashion laughs. So many people hate this episode it just has to be #1. And the reason a lot of people hate it (the plot) is insane. I love the plot! So, why you all be hatin'? This episode is in my top five favorite post-season 4 episodes.

That's my list, deal with it.

10. Best Day Ever
I love it, and I don't see why people despise it.
9. Atlantis Squarepantis
I do admit, this episode was not too good compared to the others, but I thought it was ok.
8. Reef Blower
This is actually a good episode. I don't see why people didn't like it so much.
7. Pest Of The West
I thought it was a pretty good special.
6. Chimps Ahoy!
I thought it was a great episode, and Patrick's inventions (that were already invented) were great ideas!
5. Hocus Pocus
I thought this episode was very good.
4. Not Normal
This is a classic episode of SpongeBob, with a clever plot and very nice details.
3. The Krusty Sponge
Call me crazy, but I like this episode.
2. The Pink Purloiner
This is a really funny episode!
1. Suction Cup Symphony
This is my PERSONAL FAVORITE of all time, and I don't see why it is loved like the other episodes.

Atlantis SquarePantis

Why was this rated in the 5s or 6s. I mean, seriously, why doesn't anyone give a dang about specials and for once come out and say that they actually enjoyed them?? Why do you guys hate specials!! I mean sometimes they're a bit anticlimactic, I will admit, but they are generally pretty good, and I enjoyed the ending.

Party Pooper Pants

Again, who gives a dang about specials?? This is one of my favorite episodes of all tiem--especially the part where he gets arrested and the part at the beginning where he keeps hassling that store clerk. This episode was gold.

Penny Foolish

Another low rating for an episode I loved!!! We had just gotten back from our annual summer trip to New England, the plane had been delayed like three hours, as always, and I was falling asleep at like 2 in the morning with this peisode on! It was hilarious!!!

Sorry to bring this back, but seriously, I think the number one Underrated is The Best Day Ever. It may be hyped, but people hate a really good episode because of that reason. It's not the best, but like Karate Island, shouldn't be so overrated.

don't get me wrong pokesponge. i liked the best day ever, but it was the hype that ruined it for me. if there was no hype at all then i agree that it would be an underrated episode

Well my main point was people who hate that and Karate Island because it was so hyped (or in Karate Island's case, was rated best episode ever.)

Like I said, they're not the best, but because they were voted the best or hyped, doesn't make them particularly bad. (WhoBob WhatPants as well.)

Well it's different if you hate it at first. But if you liked it and didn't love it, and then saw it as number one and suddenly hated it is why I mentioned the episodes.

I don't know what my top fifteen would be, however I think Survival of the Idiots is under rated. It has a good plot and is one of the funniest episodes. It is possibly my favorite in the series.

10. Rise and Shine- Great short episode; kinda overdoing Patrick's stupidity, but hey, ya know, most of the new ones are like that. Good episode.
9. The Donut of Shame- Never see it on TV much; can't imagine why.
8. Spongicus- Good late episode; nice in retrospect.
7. Have You Seen This Snail?- Arguably not one of the best specials, but hey, I like it. The scented pinecones part was pretty funny. A good Patrick episode.
6. The Great Snail Race- Again, like number 9, never see it on TV anymore; can't imagine why. Funny!
5. New Student Starfish- Not exactly popular, but the good noodle stars and the sissy fight were hilarious.
4. I'm Your Biggest Fan- According to the Worst Episode thread, people don't like this one at all. I love it. With the iron fist and loser call; so funny!
3. Pranks a Lot- Kind of overlooked in history of SpongeBob, but it was the last great episode ever.
2. Boat Smarts- Personal favorite; love the major Squidward hurtness. Feel for 'im. Especially the part where he is a crash-test dummy. And the Citizens of Bikini Bottom for Keeping SpongeBob Squarepants Off The Road and Out Of Boats In General .
...and finally #1 is...
1. Artist Unknown- One of the best in my eyes (then again, I'm 16/20, but, semantics). "Give me your huddled masses of bored housewives, and I shall shape them in my image!" "Perfect censorship!" "I gotta wash the marble, I gotta date the marble, I gotta BE the marble!" "Welcom all to art! 'Oh, wait. This isn't cooking? Come on guys.' No come back! This is cooking!!!"

Another would be Atlantis SquarePantis.
Argually better than Ugh and The Lost Episode, and so it wasn't the most fantastic episode, and the songs were annoying. This one is really good, and I just don't understand what there is to hate about it.

Yes, one of my all time least favourite episodes being an underrated episode for sure. SpongeBob was a completely and utter [insert bad word here] and I wanted to punch him, but Patrick's part was so funny, and although it was the only bit I enjoyed, it was funny, and therefore in a way saved the episode.
Battle Of Bikini Bottom:
How the [insert another bad word here]ing hell is this gross? It's less gross than Fungus Among Us (which is also a great eppy), and Patrick wasn't that dirty. When they showed Patrick's ancestors hands, well IMO that was the grossest part, which wasn't even gross!!
