hmmm, good point. But why would he hear the sounds on the first place? Now that I think about it, here's my theory (based on what you said) After Squid sees that SpongeBob and Patrick prefer to play in a dumb ol' box instead of watching their giant new TV, Squid subconsciously starts hearing these noises because in his mind he can't make up the idea of someone doing something as dumb as playing with a box, but he is so curious to know what they are doing in there that he starts to have these auditive illusions. The world may never know....

Here's what I don't get...if you were the one imagining what's goingon...like the space launch or the Robot Pirate Island thing, for example, then you might hear it in your mind very loudly. But if it was SpongeBob and Patrick who were imagining it, and not Squidward, then how did he hear it??
